  1. I had a change of heart today, Now I want the Ruger sr9. you guys think it's worth the extra $70 over the p95?
  2. I love the look of the 2022, but i want a safety on my gun. So i cant decide on the Ruger p95 or Sig 2022.
  3. noob question, Do you need a carry permit to have a loaded weapong in your car? I'm thinking yes, just wanted to confirm.
  4. Yea I was surprised when he said $25. Caint wait to get my Ruger. Kinda nervous about going to the range for the first time. Not sure what to expect lol.
  5. Btw its a shop in smyrna. Kwick Kash Pawn. Its closer to me than On Target or something.
  6. Just got off the phone with local shop. Said it was $25 for the fees including background check. And they deal with buds every day he said. Its a pawn and gun. Not sure if they would find what I want for less.
  7. The transfer fee depends on the ffl. My local shop chargers $30. Buds shipping is free. They say they email you every step of the way , even when its there to pick up.
  8. It has to be the ruger p95 stainless with the 15 round mag and carrying case. Buds has it online for $339. They also use a perferd FFL 5 miles from my house. So i wouldnt have to call around and find someone to do it. I just go pick it up.
  9. I dont where where I'd find a new p95 around here locally. and my background is prob cleaner than the people doing the checks lol. what kind of papers do you have to fill out?
  10. In 2 weeks I will have finally saved up enough cash for a Ruger p95. This is the fist gun I ever bought myself. My question is, I'm buying it online and having it shipped to my loacl pawn and gun. When exactly do they do the backgroud check? Will they do it before the online store ships it to my gun shop or do they do it when I pick it up? I wanted to know how this works before I order my gun. thanks.
  11. Thanks everyone for your replys! Yes the shotgun I was looking into has the stock plus the pistol grip. My house isnt that big of a house and my kids room is right beside ours. So It worries me anyone returning fire at me will also be sending the bullets toward my childs room. If somone broke in my house with a gun all they have to do is walk down a 10 foot hallway and be right on any of us. So I figured a blast from a shotgun would incourage them to get the hell out if I missed. I plan on keeping it in a keyless shotgun safe mounted on the wall in my bedroom. What size barrel would you guys reccomend , the Mossberg I looked at has an 18" barrel.
  12. I shot a shotgun about 10 times when i was 15 and thats all I know about guns lol. now 17 years later I have a wife and kid and I'm going to buy a shotgun for home defense. I been thinking about the Mossberg 500A with the pistol grip. What do you guys think about that gun? Also I'm going to need a gun range to practice but I need to know about the laws first. Basically what are the laws for owning a shotgun, can you take them out on your own yard? Can shotguns be transported in your car in TN with no permits? When going to a gun range must the shotgun be in a carrying case? I don't want to look like I'm about to rob the place or anything. Thanks if you can give me some info.
