  1. The problem with email notifications is the ammo is sold out before you ever get the email it's in stock. Don't even ask how I know ok?
  2. Yea they rip ya on the shipping sadly if they had the 5000 in stock shipping is same as 500 rnds.
  3. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/383954/remington-ammunition-22-long-rifle-subsonic-38-grain-lead-hollow-point-box-of-500-10-boxes-50   unsure how long it will be there so hurry if any of you want any
  4. That's all I'm seeing as well and a 1 box limit at 100 rnds sucks especially when you had 6.00 for shipping one box
  5. Yea that didn't last long however I managed to get 1000 rnds ordered before it got sold out 500 have been spoken for and I'll be glad to sell some to folks here to if they need any. Way I work it when I pay retail for it is I'll make 2.00 3.00 profit just for my time basically. Sometimes I won't even make 1.00 just depends on cost structure of ammo and shipping.

  7. I've never liked dealing with them to be honest. I'll go see if they have what I'm looking for and if so I'll handle it and look it over and purchase it elsewhere. Most of there prices are over suggested retail if one does there homework they will see this to. The guy I was talking to about the Ed Browns when he told me why the SF was higher than the Kobra I told him he was wrong that EB has three coatings the Grey the Gen III and all Stainless. and you can get them in any combo. He took the handgun from me and put it away and walked away. Those guys marked up the Special Forces just because it said SF on the slide, nothing more I bet my entire collection on it.   Also another fact on the crew there, they were buying walmart ammo right off the trucks around back in several locations and selling in there store at marked up prices.    I'm sorry they may be a sponsor here but one thing is I'll call out shady dealings in a heart beat and as far as I'm concerned the Outpost is probably one of the most crooked and dishonest gun shops in middle TN, now some of the guys there are nice and I've enjoyed conversations with them but there business practices are nothing to brag over.
  8. yea it's gonna be tough on the wait but it should make for a nice christmas gift to myself. Thats the best I can do at the wait is justify it being a christmas gift lol... Outpost armory had some in stock and they tried to pull a big one over on me by justifying the diffrences in finishes between the Kobra carry and special forces carry and the 300.00 price tag difference when all the time I knew better. They're both the same weapon just the checkering is different between the two....
  9. I've hit a total dry spell at both wall world locations I have been visiting. they are putting the ammo out at 8:00 am and its gone in 15 mins. you now have to line up at counter and wait your turn.
  10. Really for years I always said I'd never spend 2500.00 for a handgun of any sort. Well with help from you folks and your advice on my next 1911 purchase I made my decision today on what my next 1911 will be. I will say I hunted high and low for a DW V Bob and all I could find was a used one from Wilson Tactical on Gun Broker and dang near the cost of a new one. So I figured if I was going to consider a New DW at the cost of around 2 grand I just as well buy into a full custom built just for me.    What I had chosen is an Ed Brown Special Forces Carry with Gen III coating fixed night sites Flush barrel my very own serial number and I added my last name to the bushing, and the recessed slide stop. The grand total of this I'm going to say investment cost me 2810.00 shipped to my door in oh 6-8 months. I am purchasing this handgun thru Hammond's Gun and Tackle. Jerry was a pleasure to work with and talk to on placing my order and he had helped me with all the questions I had. I highly recommend him to you folks if you are ever in the market for a custom built 1911.    Thanks to you all for answering my questions and giving advice on my next purchase and although I went against what I have always said on spending what I just did for one, once I saw one at the outpost I knew then I had to have one.
  11. I hope this isn't a repost. If so I apologize . I know this is long, but read what has happened to us RIGHT NOW not proposed for the future. I know that the press has reported the Democrats withdrew the ASW ban for a bill pending, but do we know the rest of the story.................... Here is a list of 23 Executive Orders our president has signed to take effect IMMEDIATELY after March 16th by his much abused power to issue executive orders. Here is the source if you want to fact check this: http://www.theatlanticwire.com/politics/2013/01/obama-executive-actions-gun-list/61075/ "After a brief press conference with Vice-President Biden at the White House on Wednesday, President Obama bucked the conventional wisdom and signed into law several executive actions intended to reduce gun violence in the United States. As we've noted, Obama can't avoid major legislative battles with these measures, but some are sure to have immediate impact. Here's the full list, followed by instant reactions and some more presidential memos from the White House today: Gun Violence Reduction Executive Actions Today (3/16/2013), the President is announcing that he and the Administration will: 1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system. 2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system. 3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system. 4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks. 5. Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun. 6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers. 7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign. 8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission). 9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations. 10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement. 11. Nominate an ATF director. 12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations. 13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime. 14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence. 15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies. 16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes. 17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities. 18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers. 19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education. 20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover. 21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges. 22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations. 23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health. Many gun advocates are already upset with provisions No. 16 and 17, so here's some more clarification on Obamacare and these executive actions. And with the NRA and its new ad campaign — along with local law enforcement — set to being a wave of public reaction (the NRA's response Wednesday afternoon drew heated responses and a video, plus teachers chiming in), here is the full release explaining each directive: http://www.theatlanticwire.com/politics/2013/01/obama-executive-actions-gun-list/61075/ "
  12. Do like I do just buy another safe. Nice weapon you bought as well....
  13. I looked at a ed brown today and it really grabbed my attention with build and how it felt holding it. I can't even believe I was considering a 2600.00 handgun but that's probably what I'll look for unless I do find a good deal on a v Bob before then. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2
  14. Thanks for the link ad says no longer available so I guess I'm too late.
  15. Thanks for the input, I haven't found any actually for sale. I just ran across this one tonight and I'm trying to research this particular model. I'm still leaning toward the DW V Bob though and dang they are selling used for what new is.
  16. Thanks for the info, I wasn't aware of that web site and I'm looking but don't see the SIS can you provide a link please?
  17. Right now I have the owner at 1100.00 for the handgun.....it looks to be a good looking gun from the photos.
  18. I found one used what do you guys know about this particular model? All I can find out is its discontinued and was for LAPD and special forces.
  19. Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I found a black V Bob online for sale it's used and shows a bit of wear in several places. Of all places to find it Wilson Combat has it for sale go figure, now what is a used one of these worth in reality? New retail is less than 2100.00 so I don't know if I can base anything off retail in today's market and I'm not sure if DW is up and running production since there fire so I'm sure that plays in on value as well. I'm gonna head over to outpost tomorrow and see if they have one in stock so I can get a feel of it.
  20. Ok I have three Kimbers already and wanted to purchase the CDP pro but I'm having second thoughts on another kimber purchase. What would you guys buy that's in the same class or better than the kimber at a 1500-1700 price range? I honestly don't know the quality of the other handguns out there so thought I'd start here and do some research. Ed brown Wilson and the likes is not me I just can't see that kind of money invested in one of there handguns. I might be missin something I don't know but 3000+ for a handgun in my opinion just isn't a good investment ( am I wrong) ? Prefer something in a 4" model
  21. Hell I won't stand in line for an hour to eat much less to buy ammo.....
  22. I do not mind picking up ammo for you guys as it comes in the store I have a good stash right now and only reason I buy is because it's there. For those wanting it you can come get it as I find it or pay to have it shipped either way I'm good with helping anyone out.
  23. I actually passed on purchasing any this go around.
  24. They had gotten a big shipment in there were plenty of 45 auto 9 mm and 40 cal on the shelf. All multi packs although they did have 45 boxes of 50 count of the 45 on shelf to. Plenty of shotgun ammo and rifle ammo well with exception of 223 and 7.62x39
