  1. Didn't make it to the gym last night but did go to the green way by wolf river. Walked a couple miles I think. Today's weight 216.5 That's a big drop since Monday. About 4 pounds.
  2. I want to know how he got the screen shots of his iPhone.
  3. I find it interesting that his Highness is looking into whether or not the law in Arizona is Constitutional. Forgive me if I am wrong but I don't recall seeing anything in the Constitution regarding states enforcing laws that are on their books the way they think best. In fact I believe that the federal government is not supposed to deal with the laws of the states in that matter. Oh well. Fort Sumter here we come!
  4. I got a response from one of my reps that stated that Bredesen had told them a week ago at a dinner that he was going to Veto it. Typical politicians. You can replace them with whomever you like and the politics won't change.
  5. Well - today is Week 1 Day 1 again at the gym after work. I will let you know tomorrow how it goes. I am hoping to be in better shape by the July 4th weekend. Big house plans that weekend. I am also starting the 100 push ups in 100 days as well as the 100 sit ups. I guess I am just a glutton for punishment. Once I get to that shape I will throw in the free weights etc.
  6. It's for the good of the children.... Not to mention how much "pork" they can put into the bill that would be presented to sign the treaty. Healthcare anyone?
  7. Slippery Slope - Slippery Slope If you don't have them get them.
  8. So if you cannot sign it into law but know it will be over ridden why not just let it pass into law without your signature? SpunkMonkey!!!
  9. Emailed them. Now we have to see what they do.
  10. This should pass and will go back to court and we will be right back where we were. I for one will be happy to see this area in the rear view mirror!!!
  11. I AM NOT A LAWYER but to me forcible entry is anyone entering my home WITHOUT my permission regardless of how they got there. My family will be protected regardless.
  12. Thanks DB - I got all of the beer out of the house this weekend. Yesterday I ate about 2300 calories give or take 2 hundred. Let's compare that to Saturday when I consumed about 4880 calories. Not a bad start. I am eating more smaller meals instead of fewer larger meals. I also started the C25K yesterday. I couldn't finish stage 1 but I did get through 3/4 of it before I was sucking wind too badly. Tomorrow I will do Week 1 Day 1 again and hopefully make it all the way through. I did lose 2 pounds yesterday. I know it is water weight but it is a start and I still ate a little ice cream last night. 1/2 cup instead of a large bowl. Here's to sticking with it.
  13. Might have to see about going to the LSU Ole Miss game. It's the day before my birthday.
  14. And the government doesn't pay taxes on gas. They don't pay taxes on anything.
  15. You have the right to freedom of speech. You do not have the right to endanger my life. The courts have dictated that. Yelling fire in a crowded theater would incite a riot also known as a mass exodus which could cause many people especially small children to get hurt. You have the right to bare arms. You do not have a right to endanger my life by being stupid and waving a loaded firearm around with your bugger grabber on the bang switch. The courts have dictated that one also. Yes - the framers of the Constitution saw to it that we as citizens have the right to say whatever we want even if it is against the government. They also saw to it that if the government ever tried to take away that right we would have the ability to defend it.
  16. The bill will become law on May 18th if he does nothing. If he vetos it goes back to the house and senate for override which it will probably pass.
  17. My thought is that as long as you have the frame on your person you are "technically" in possession of a firearm since the frame is what the ATF considers as it has "the" serial number. Now - I am not a lawyer and cannot speak as such and only a case tried in court with the backing of the judicial system in place has any merit here I would suggest contacting a liar (I mean lawyer). If you left the frame in the bushes outside and only had the barell, slide etc. then they could not prosecute you under the current law. Would I do this? Nope, then again I wouldn't go in carrying.
  18. Inquire w/ the manager/owner as to why the sign was put up and explain to them that you will not be back and that your friends will not be back. Sooner or later it may affect them enough to take it down.
  19. Fine - Fine - Starting Monday I will go back to the C25K. Start over from scratch. Maybe I can take the weight off. You convinced me. I will shoot for a 5K by end of summer. At least I can train in doors at the Germantown Center.
  20. I just can't do the running thing. I tried and it didn't stick either. The Couch 2 5 K seemed like a good idea but I am so winded it isn't even funny. Maybe I will start it back. I know I shouldn't make it a "on monday" thing but I have so much beer in the house to do away with first and I ain't going to waste it.
  21. I'd drive it if you would let me.
  22. I gave up on it but I need to start again. With the FTJ, PTS, and 2K's I really need to figure out how to work a workout every day in to my hectic life style. I don't want to work out at night because then I won't be able to sleep. I can't drag my but up in the morning to work out but I know I need to. Someone MAKE ME!!!!
  23. Wow - making the ABC do their job? That would be amazing.
