  1. 2) Possession of a weapon on posted property in violation of this section is a Class B misdemeanor punishable by fine only of five hundred dollars ($500). This is Tennessee's....
  2. I don't think they mention them at all right now. That's sad, as it is where the whole muzzleloader hunting thing got started!
  3. I notice that almost everything (maybe even Timesteppers Chickory) causes cancer in California? Wha'z up wit dat?
  4. DaveS

    Be my friend.

Would love to get out this weekend, but someone around TGO has to work...might as well be me! lol
  5. Sorry to hear you are sick my friend. Get over that as quickly possible, and get well!
  6. With the advent and latest craze of "inline muzzleloaders", pyrocrap pellets and #209 primers....who still hunts with traditional "sidelock flint or nipple hugger" muzzleloaders? I hunt with two flintlock handmade rifles. I built my own rifles (not kits) and one is a .36 cal for small game and a .50 for large game. I built both along the lines of PA Rifles. I hand make all my accroutements (or whatever that big word is), my own powderhorns, bags, patch knives and all. To me, that is my satisfaction just knowing that everything I hunt with I hand made. It's a feeling beyond compare when you harvest game with your own equipment! I'll take some pictures and post them up as soon as I can. Dave
  7. Yes, that too. I think I'll ponder all of this over a cup of "joe"....
  8. Why .22 short if you don't mind me asking? That's an aweful little bullet for something! I had a friend shot with one while in high school. It stuck in his arm and he "sqezzed his skin" and the bullet popped up to the surface and he removed while waiting on and ambalance and police. Are you wanting it for "self defense?"
  9. I read somewhere recently that they are saying Sassafras tea causes cancer. Maybe that was in California....I don't remember....
  10. What kind of little deringer are you trying to build? Would it not be cheaper, easier or even SAFER to purchase one? I've built quite a few Black Powder weapons before, but not sure how to answer your question without taking on the liability of telling you so, just in case you blow your freek'n fingers off!
  11. Good pasture will pay off in the end. We have fattened alot of cows/beef on pasture and slaughtered. As already mentioned, if you can put them on grain for a couple of weeks that is good. We couldn't at times and I honestly couldn't tell you the difference in the quality.
  12. Ain't this crazy?
  13. http://www.theleafchronicle.com/article/20120516/NEWS01/305160017/Shot-fired-toward-door-door-salesman-Clarksville-neighborhood?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE What a DUMMY!!!
  14. Doesn't alot of this problem start at home with PARENTS who care? Baby Mommies and Baby Daddies is not what it takes to raise a child to be a productive member of our society. It takes actual PARENTING! Plus it takes a kid who cares to make something of their lives instead of being blunt smoking thugs!
  15. We were "trek'n" once and had no coffee. (see your last sentence above) my pards threatened to tie me to a flat raft and set me adrift in the great cumberland. Seems my muslin "bag-o-beans" was left at home when I packed to go. That was a long two days! Dave
  16. Was given a Ruger SA .45 Old Army. My friend gave it to me. He said it's been is his safe for a couple years and he has never shot it. That was a GOOD DEAL! Dave
  17. Sorry to hear about your friend. I've been following this case from day one. I can't figure out whats got into our teens nowadays! They have no respect for no one and no value for anything! That generation is destined for destruction!
  18. Bow season in 4 months....Can't get one then? You'll not last till spring....you'll be a wired quivering mass of nerves by then my friend. You know me...I just had to say it! Dave
  19. Look at it this way friend.....If you called a cop and say "Joe Schmuck has a NO GUNS ALLOWED sign on the door, you'd probably be advised not to GO IN. If a property owner called the police and complained, guess who will be ESCORTED from the property, YOU! You just gave everyone of us LAW Biding citizens with a HCP a bad name. What a shame.... I'm done! Dave Sayre
  20. Did Tennessee change the law about carrying in places that serve Alcohol? I don't remember, that's why I'm asking. Besides, why would you want to carry past a sign? Kinda gives us all a bad name, I don't care what your MOS is/was!
  21. Folks, we all talk about OUR rights to carry where we please. What about the RIGHTS of the other person/property owner? Does OUR RIGHTS with an HCP "trump" the RIGHTS of the person that don't want our weapons there? Everyone HAS RIGHTS...lets respect them! The "NO WEAPONS" sign posted on a business holds the same weight as "NO HUNTING", NO FISHING, NO TRESPASSING, NO WALKING ON THE GRASS! Our HCP's don't TRUMP the rights of others! Your rights to carry a weapon on other peoples property against their wishes is NOT a VIOLATION of your 2A rights! Carrying with an HCP is NOT a RIGHT...it's a PRIVILAGE granted to you via training, background check and a bunch of money. As a property owner, If I say NO WEAPONS...I MEAN NO WEAPONS....you'll be left sobbing in the corner if the right property owner catches you! Most of ya'll fuss'n about about your "Rights" most likely have NO CLUE what the 2nd Ammendment says in detail. Please read it! I promise you one thing, go against a property owner in this situation, and they'll win everytime! I love to carry more than anyone I know....ONLY where it's not posted! I'm off my soapbox now....flame away! Dave Sayre
  22. Invite some Clarksville folks!

    Be my friend.

"DWARREN123", is the range in hoptown closer to woodlawn than MCSC?
  24. DaveS

    Be my friend.

I'm not "funny" in the least bit, but I do enjoy going to the range. Was an RSO for a couple of years, then someone tried to blow me up with a .44 automag, and another jerk put a 1911 .45 into my gut trying to clear a jam....RSO days were over! I do enjoy going to the range, but usualy shoot in my back yard. There is a bunch of folks from Clarksville on here....don't know how well they "clean up" though. J/K Dave
  25. Nice pig! What did he weigh?
