  1. I have not had any dealings with them but they are nice looking holsters for sure. As far as pricey, I guess you get what you pay for as the saying goes. Custom leather work is usually not too cheap.   I think that BTP concept is very interesting. I had a renter who carried his 1911 in a Galco IWB holster but wore it on the outside of his pants with the belt over it, kind of similar to this but not really designed for that. Concealed very well with just a shirt tail out, he was not a very large fellow and I was surprised that he could conceal that 1911 so easily OWB with an IWB. The belt over it kept it very secure and tight up to his body. Wish he had not moved, best renter we ever had in the house to date.   Sorry to get a bit off your topic, but I have been known to ramble from time to time. Ebow1 let us know if you order from them and be sure to post pics of whatever you get.
  2. Welcome back to TN and to TGO! Good luck with shooting the AR, but watch out the black rifles become addictive.
  3. Welcome, I am a newcomer to the forums also but I have lived in TN all my life. Noting wrong with being prepared. I always fall back on the ole Boy Scout motto: be prepared.   37 years at the Sheriff's Office- I bet there are a few interesting stories in there somewhere. Thank you for you service to the community.   Hope you enjoy the forums and look forward to meeting up with you again on TGO!
  4. I thought I would pass along that Dick's Sporting Goods in Maryville had Federal 12 ga 00 buck 2-3/4 on sale for $4.79 for a box of 5. I was in there yesterday, and it seemed like a decent deal so I picked up 3 boxes of buckshot and 1 box of slugs. This was cheaper per round than the boxes of 25 or 100 they had in Remington. The slugs were 4.79 also but I got the last box. They seem to have a decent stock of rifle ammo, not sure if the pricing was that great though.   I had just left the Alcoa Walmart and they did not have much 12 ga, except birdshot & target rounds, but they did seem to have some handgun ammo in 9, 40, & 45 on the shelf, No .22 at all. Th handgun amoo probably won't sit on the shelf long.
  5. Hi everyone, I have enjoyed reading your forums and classifieds for a while and thought I should go ahead and register as a member.   A little about myself: I have had my hcp for 11 years, I own various firearms, and I also carry on a regular basis. I live in a rural area of Louisville, TN (Blount County), and can shoot on my property but I do make it to an indoor range every once in a while. I am a business owner so I am not restricted on carry related issues at my workplace.   I try to keep up on current laws as well as any proposed gun related legislation. Your forums have been a good place to gain info on these topics. I also enjoy browsing the classifieds because I always seem to "need" more guns, ammo, holsters, etc.   I look forward to getting to know everyone and gaining some knowledge in the process. Although I have read a lot of forums, I have never posted on any before so it may take me a while to get the hang of it.   Thanks, Danny
