  1. Nice old gun. It was probably made in the teens or the twenty's. If she locks up tight I would shoot standard velocity LRN and keep her oiled up good. I shoot my Dads and Grandpa's old gun sometimes when I go around the old place. Sorry for your loss

  2. I love dogs but have had very bad luck with pure breeds. 50/50 dogs are the way to go. Short hair that doesn't shed like rain is a big plus. The best dog I have had the privilege of owning was a female that was 50% Chow 25 % Doberman and 25% German shepherd. She was about 55 lbs. and lived to be 16

  3. Rob,

When you consider choosing different components remember the 280AI is a 7mm-06 with a 40 degree shoulder angle. That said try a full case of Ramshot Big Game with a Bonded 150 or 160. The extra capacity that the shoulder angle gives may be more trouble to do than the performance you achieve but that's another story. This will end up trading velocity for consistent downrange energy. Let us know how this shakes out.

  4. Broomhandles and Tokarevs held the speed record until 1935 when the .357 was introduced. The PPSH-41 open bolt subgun could approach 900 rpm but was limited by a 71 round drum. So as stated above this is not really new but updated to a higher pressure.

  5. Well Well Well,  Once the officer pulled his weapon on the man and commanded him to drop it numerous times they both made their choices. Why does not matter at this point. He couldn't live without the gun and the officer couldn't live with it. Bang bang it's over. Go over in Europe and see how many times they give you a command to drop the weapon before they fire. I promise you one chance is all you get and you better not hesitate. Better wave your pistol and smoke your pot at home.
