  1. Randy has inspired me to post. Super shooting with the rifle sir!

Don't really do much rifle but my pistol group shooting continues to get better.

Successfully starting to put 5 on headbox at 25yd and almost a fantastic group but a stupid flier to right!

Also, new M&P shield plus, performance center model with crimson trace garbage dot - really great little gun set up. Going to get another with 507k milled for carry gun. Not too shabby for slimline pistol and 2" dots at 10yd.

  2. I still have my dillion dies on order and will be happy to put them on whenever they show up. Check sites and call around and I'd bet you could find some. Also, could be wrong but I feel like components are seeing a slight trend in the right direction

  3. I got my dillion press/accessories order the Friday after placing order on Saturday morning (website said press was 8-12wks backordered) but only thing that didn't come was die set. Its been just about 4 weeks now, finally just got a set of hornady 9mm dies I'm picking up today - they are out there if you look for them.

On a side note...so much for bad things only happening in "bad" neighborhoods.

Ya, that's why I'm not a put on my gun to run to the store person. If I'm awake and have pants on, I have a gun on - usually just a G43 in a pocket around the house - but still a gun within arms reach.

  5. SGAammo is usually the best but brownells occasionally has a good sale on certain ammo with free shipping which is the best value I see online. I only buy by the case, only decent brass cased and pretty much just 9mm or 22lr.

  6. This was a really great class put on by two highly qualified individuals. I think this would be the perfect next step following getting a carry permit for everyone who looks to carry a gun for self defense or even just possibly ever having to use a gun for defense. Hope they can continue to put this class together for lots of people to get a day of very useful info and training.

I learned something within the first 2 minutes of Lee starting and picked up tons of useful information to retain throughout his whole class. He does a great job of going over his material - even though sometimes it is lots of legal-ese talk that he is breaking down to lay mans terms (thank goodness for me).  I even learned the importance and difference between "can I" and "may I", and more importantly for this class, "must I" 😎.

I've been through Randy's flagship class years ago but this was a great compacted refresher for lots that I've forgotten. His  - pests eat fast -  is very good info and mindset to have ( + KEEP) in your toolbox. Don't know what that is? Get to class and find out. We even had the great fortune of having the monsoon finally break and got to enjoy the range without getting soaked to the bone. Also got to experience shooting drills in quicksand - which is sure to be useful someday. Had a great time and enjoyed spending the day with some great folks.

  7. Somewhat tough day for training, really tough day to stay warm and dry. Had a great time though - which has proven true every time I make it out. Continue to be impressed with the folks who show up and train - really  enjoy seeing and training with familiar faces and always enjoy meeting new ones.

I had a nice roller coaster day of shooting - some pretty ugly blunders but mixed in with some of my more solid shooting ability. Cold hands and extra cover garments can be challenging. I had a few runs of shooting with a pretty terrible grip from the get go. Saw some of my better runs came from just focusing on first establishing a good grip or when we started from the ready position.

Shot some really good drills and then Randy came up with a REALLY good one that I look forward to doing again and some variations of.

Ya, looking forward to making the event in January, looked at the website (firstpersonsafety.com) and didn't find anything on it yet.

  8. Not gonna answer every question. But Chattanooga is GREAT! Lived there for 7 years before moving to Nashville. We miss Chattanooga sometimes but are thankful for our move for lots of other reasons.

Crime in Chatt is probably mostly limited to the bad parts of town ( isn't that the case most everywhere). But there is usual stuff everywhere but I came from Atlanta so Chattanooga was an improvement.

    No sales TAX is GREAT.

Bugs are plentiful from April to October when it starts to get cooler. We have lots of OFF.

Chattanooga has lots of good gun folks, you won't have a problem finding a club/range and having plenty of gun folk/activities.

I have a Streamlight Stylus Pro that is 2xAAA. I have EDC'd it in the nylon holster in my pocket for a long time. Batteries seem to last a long time for me. May not be the brightest on the market, but works great.

    They are $20 from Amazon.

Yep - same here. Been carrying one of these everyday for somewhere around 2 years now. I've worn over half the coating of black off and washed it tons of times, pretty much beaten it up good and it's never missed a lick. I love that its small enough for my pocket, super simple operation and bright enough for pretty much anything I need.

  10. Very nice! Those are really pretty grips on the 75.

I've been exclusively shooting/training with my P-07/09's since Nov. - really digging the CZ train again. So much so I just landed a limited edition 75b matte finish off another forum. Can't wait to get it.
