  1. I have a CZ70. It is ok. I have shot a lot of different brand of .32 auto. The only problem that I have had is, it won't shoot any HP ammo. A buddy of mine took it home with him. He think it is the magazine spring is weak. The 2 magazine will hold 8 rounds. He put 5 rounds of HP in the magazine and it would feed into the chamber. So I can get 2 new magazine springs made by Wolf. I will try this. If these won't work I am going to sell the CZ70 and 2 magazines. gearyr

  2. A friend of mine had a vasectamy years ago. He told me that the doctor gave him a shot to make him woosy. The seadative started to take affect. He was loopy. He said the doctors good looking nurse asked him if she coluld watch the vasectamy. Of course he said. He said the more he looked at that good looking nurse. His MEMBER started to rise. The doctor saw what was happening. And the doctor had to tape his rising MEMBER to his leg! I won't ever forget that as long as I live. My buddy had werid sense of humor. gearyr

  3. I am 55. I still have the first shotgun I ever bought in 1972. Me and my brother bought one just a like. Ordered it from a Sears catalog store that was in Gallatin, TN> It is a Sears Ted Williams, Model 200, 12 gauge pump. It was made by Winchester. It is a Win. 1200. It still looks pretty good. Kick like a mule. What I really like about the shotgun. It has a adjustable choke on the end of the barrel. So I use any choke setting. But can only use 2 3/4 inch shells. gearyr

  4. Well let me say this. If Cherokee Steak House is as bad as all of you say. Why are they still open? I for one like Cherokee very much. It is close to me. When me and the wife and our best friends go. We get the sirloin for 4 people. They plie it on with steak. A real nice place. gearyr

  5. I will be watching and recording Lock N Load with R. Lee Eremy on The History Channel. It is a great program. He has done shows on Ammo, Helicopters, Blades, Armored Vechicles, & Tanks. Tonight he is doing one on Rifles. The one on Ammo was the best. He shows from start of gun powder to todays high tech ammo. gearyr.

  6. My bad on the Speer #13 load manual. COL is 1.260. I going to load up 8 rounds with 5.0 grains of Bullseye and shoot them thru my Ruger. If they shoot great, then I will load up the 500 230 grain FMJ I have left. I really like Unique. That is all about I have ever used. I have been reloading for my .45 since 2002. Bought my Ruger P90TH new Dec. 2001 at the Bill Goodman show. I really like it. I liked the Ruger so much, I bought a Ruger P89 in 2005. It is agreat pistol too. Thanks, gearyr

  7. I have a Ruger P90 in .45 ACP. I need load data for 230 grain FMJ, Win. LP primer. I ran out of Unique powder. I have a bottle of Bullseye powder. I went to Alliant's web site. Their load data is 5.7 grains of Bullseye and the col at 1.260. I have the Speer #13 manual. Their load data is 5.2-5.7 max, col at 1.206. I think I will start at 5.0 grains of Bulleyes. Thabks, gearyr

  8. I have a M91/59 Mosin Nagant. I have been reloading for it a while. What you need to do is slug the barrel. Take 00 buck shot grease it up and shove it thourgh the barrel. Then take a caliper and measure the diameter. I did that on mine. I have been using the Sierra .311 150 and the 180 grain SP bullets. The fun part is finding brass. Their is a place called Chestnut Ridge that sells 7.62x54R bras that is already primed. I can't remember the exact load data that I am using. I will look it up and post it later. Here is the one I have used.

    BULLET SIERRA 150 GR. .311

    POWDER 51.0 GR. IMR4320

    PRIMER CCI LR

    CASE GRAFS

    COL 2.95

    Hope this helps. gearyr

  9. I work at the Bridgestone Tire Plant in Lavernge, TN. They have a sign up coming into the parking lot. NO Firearms allowed. That sign is not going to stop any crazed worker from bringing in a gun in the plant. What Bridgestone is worried about. Dec. 2008 is when the lay offs started. We had 1140 people working at that time. We have 497 of us left now. The way the the company treats its workers is why they don't want this law to pass. I have HCP. I have to leave it at home when I go to work. I guess you guys are going to tell me to find anothe job. Can't. Been there too long. Will mess up my plans. gearyr

Subject: UPDATE ON CARRY IN PARKS

    P { MARGIN: 0px}

    Dear Ron,

I attended the Gallatin City Council's working session last night (3rd time) and briefly spoke during public comments.

As you know, the State statute will permit HCP Holders to carry in ALL PARKS (State, County, City & Federal has already passed this) effective September 1st, 2009 UNLESS a County or City governing body affirmatively votes to "opt out" of the statute; i.e. NO ACTION would mean the state law takes effect.

Last night, the Council DID take action on the matter, they voted Unanimously to NOT OPT OUT; thus effective September 1st, HCP Holders will be allowed to carry in parks, WITH THE UNDERSTANDING that, as per the July 14th, 2009 Tennessee Attorney General's opinion, that HCP Carry Holder's remain PROHIBITED from carrying in any park where School (Private/Public) "activities" are taking place.

Since HCP Holders will have NO WAY OF KNOWING when School Activities, games, field trips, etc. are occurring the HCP Holder is subject to "conflicting criminal statutes," and must be aware of this. Last night all HCP Holders informally acknowledged this proviso.

Personal advice (nothing formal or legal), refrain from carry in the "ball parks" or sport recreational sites (including Civic Center, golf course; etc.); should one choose to carry, AT MINIMUM, ALWAYS CARRY "COMPLETELY" CONCEALED (as one should at all times, anyway, except when hunting!) and do not display in any manner.

These "conflicting criminal statutes" MUST be resolved in January when the Tennessee General Assembly reconvene because one can assume that virtually ALL State, County, City & Federal parks routinely serve to host organized sports and activities for schools throughout the state and present the same inherent jeopardy to HCP Holders. Accordingly, HCP Holders will need to seek "relief" from this erroneous and unintentional conflict ASAP via their State Representatives/Senators.

I am proud to see that Gallatin's City Council voted unanimously to NOT opt out, thus maintaining the operationally mandatory State-wide uniformity by letting the statute become effective September 1st. Unfortunately, many City Council's foolishly (my opinion) voted to opt-out and thereby have created a "piecemeal-hodgepodge" of areas where Tennessee HCP Holders (including the 34 states we have legal reciprocity/mutual recognition with) must be aware of; a complete nightmare as "experienced" and later preempted state-wide in many other states

    Hopefully, are Legislators will:

    • <LI style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in" class=MsoNormal>Add HCP Holders to the list of people exempted from the firearms prohibition at school activities
    • Preempt County/City prohibitions against carry in parks thereby making it uniform state-wide like in most states.

For Gallatin Residents, you might want to drop a note/call/e-mail to your City Councilman, Councilmen-At-Large and Mayor Graves and thank them! http://www.gallatin-tn.gov/Council.htm

    Sincerely,

    David Deere

  11. Try Bass Pro in Nashville. I called down there last Thuesday (8-6-09). To my surprise they had primers! I told the guy I was talking to hold 2 boxes of small pistol and 2 boxes of large pistol primers for me. They were $29.90 a box of 1000 primers. Got 4 boxes for $130.66. I told a buddy at work the next day that Bass Pro had primers. He needed small rifle primers. When he got to Bass Pro after work, they were sold out of primers. But he got his primers. Yoy never know who is going to have any primers. So just call. gearyr

  12. Same here. Harper's has the best catfish ever! I live in Castalian Springs, TN. 5 miles out of Gallatin, TN. We have been going to Harper's for over 20 years. When we have a craving for fried catfish, we go up to Harper's. About a 25 minute drive from the house. gearyr

  13. When you get to Springfield. You have to go to The Second Amendment Gun Shop. GREAT GUYS that own and run the gun shop. I took my handgun carry class with them. I had a blast. I haven't been back since I took my permit class. Need to go back and shoot at their indoor range. gearyr

  14. Any one here tried thesebullets? Here is what the Power Bond company says about their bullets.

Our proprietary plating process electro-chemically bonds the copper to the lead core. Our copper is thicker and tougher than other bullets...between 10 and 11-thousandths. Proper adhesion is continuously monitored and tested to ensure uniform, maximum bonding. I can order 1000 .45 ACP 230 grain bullets for $131.00. The price includes shipping. I have shot 1000's of other plated bullets. Berry's and Rainers. Thanks, gearyr
