  1. Relax bersaguy, they said they would GIVE you a FREE air tester.... I mean, that's assuming you can make it back to the store with those headaches, your skin crawling, nausea , throw some diarrhea in there, and if you are asthmatic you get a double dose. Love me some China wood :poop:

DON'T ASK DON'T TELL lol I just couldn't let it pass!!!!

  2. LOL my wife has told me before "you know if you sold your guns I could have a nice living room set" so I saved and bought her one to protect my babies lol

  3. My opinion on this (witch mean absolutely squat to anyone but me) is the caliber doesn't matter I personally don't want to be shot with any bullet anytime anywhere. A 9mm will hurt or kill me just as easily as a .45 if it hits anything vital. I carry a 9mm sometimes and a .45 sometimes and I have complete confidence that if it comes down to it I can defend my life with either.

  4. Try:

    1) Some Mini Mags

    2) Cleaning under the extractor real well

    3) Cleaning the chamber real well, make sure its not gummy with shipping grease or has a burr in it.

    4) A Ruger 10/22

Option 4 being the solution most likely to succeed.

I like option 4 to but it's not my gun lol. Personally I don't like .22s I've owned several of them and ended up plinking a little then passing them on.My brother on the other hand loves them, different strokes I guess.

  5. no not extracting at all when it jammed the spent cartridge would  still be chambered and the new one pressed up against it, I've never seen one do this before.

  6. My brother bought a used Hi Point 9mm and we took it to the range and I have to say I was impressed with how accurate it was and how well it performed. Then we brought it back to the house and broke it down to clean it and I was even more impressed. I have never seen a weapon that dirty and gombed up. It was pitiful. it took him a good hour to get all the grease and crap out of that gun and it was still cycling and eating everything he put thru it. Still not my choice in weapons but I do have a new respect for them now.

  7. My brother bought a Mossburg 22 semiauto, and is having a cycling issue. It will cycle fine for 2/3 rounds then it wont eject the spent shell but will try to load another. We took it apart and cleaned it really good but it didn't help, any ideals? It is a new rifle, first time shooting it. We were shooting a hodge podge of .22lr that he had stored away from back in the bullet bucket days, and it messed up on different brands of bullets.

  8. I once went all out on jerky, freezing the meat slightly to aid in the slicing; using many a marinade and spice recipes.  But recently I started using the jerky guns and premixed spices.  I was skeptical about using ground venison for jerky, I had purchased a kit but stored it away for years.  One year my freezer went out so had to use all the meat that was in there, so I decided to try it and I have to tell you it came out pretty good.  I still slice every once in awhile but mainly I now use the "caulking gun" method.

I've been wanting to get one of those and try it out, but like you I have been skeptical, it just seems like you could use so many other spicing mixes with the ground meat than the sliced, I may go ahead and purchase one this year since you have had success with it. I couldn't find anyone who had used one before to ask about it. Does the higher fat content in most ground meat cause a problem? and do you make round pieces or long flat ones. How does it save? Is it tender or does it get dry and brittle. sorry to blast so many ?s but I have been wondering for a while lol

  9. I just finished putting some deer in my jerky marinade, and it got me thinking about different marinades. I use to love to experiment with different mixtures until I found one I and my family love. Honestly I make around 10lbs and it lasts maybe 3 days once my kids find out it's done. So if you want post your favorite marinade mix for others, including myself to try out.

      Mine is:

    1 cup wisticher sauce

    1/2 cup soy sauce

    1/2 cup A1

    1/2 cup cracked pepper corns

    1/4 cup texas pete

    2 tbs of paprika

And for the spicier batch I add 2 tbs of cayenne pepper

Soak 6/8 hrs I usually let it soak over night.

  10. Ehh, he could have waited until you left, or just asked you.  With ammo prices what they are these days, some people take their brass seriously.

Also, I'm instantly suspicious of people who volunteer that their veteran status in a confrontation.  Why not use just say friends, or buddies?

I would rather just believe him, and if it was bull I really don't want to find out lol he was a nice old guy, and I am pretty sure he wasn't BSing us, he seemed genuinely sorry for not asking first.

  11. Where do yall shoot at? Bubbling Springs? Last few times I've drove up there to shoot, it has been too crowded. Just curious, I need to find somewhere locally to shoot.

Yeah bubbling springs it wasn't to bad today when we were there, I have seen it packed on the weekends, I usually go on weekdays and mostly have the place to myself. We use to go on Chan Grays farm on Cave Church rd but after he passed his kids put a stop to us shooting back there. I never did like his kids lol.

  12. I went to the range with my brother today to shoot some stuff for his birthday. After we had been there about 2 hrs this older gentleman pulls up and gets out with a bag, he stands behind us until we are done shooting and while we are talking he stats walking around picking up brass. Well after a few minutes this asshat says "hey buddy that's my brass your picking up do you work here or something?" To witch the older gentleman said " I am so sorry I didn't see you picking any up so I thought you were going to leave it, you see me and a couple other Vets get together and reload ammo and talk on the weekends and we ran low on brass this weekend". After that I, yes I am the ASSHAT, helped him pick up the rest and thanked him for his service to our country.

After I removed my foot from my mouth my brother and I sat there for another hour just talking to this wonderful gentleman, it turned out to be a very nice day, and I know he should have asked before picking up someones brass, but yes I still feel like a total asshat for disrespecting that nice older gentelman.
