shot about 50 rounds through it for function test. feed and shot perfectly. now....what the heck do i do for sights?? i slapped my primary arms micro dot on there. its got the lower 1/3 cowitness mount on there. looks kinda dumb being so tall on there. any suggestions?

got my build done yesterday. going after work to put a few rounds for it. still have to decide what i want to do for sights. thinking about putting a primary arms micro dot on it. have one on the rifle and it works great. ill post some pics this evening.

its mostly going to be a range toy. with that said...price of ammo lol.

well the lowers where transferred correctly as receivers. i ordered the upper on lunch today.

ill give coal creek a call tomorrow to make sure.

a palmetto state armory i bought back when they had their sale. i bought 2 and already built a rifle out of the other one.

u can go from pistol to rifle....but you can never bring it back to a pistol. it must stay a rifle.

thanks for the help guys. looks like im good to go. bought the receivers from psa and had them transferred through coal creek. the lower im wanting to use is a virgin. only thing thats touched it is the carpet in my safe.

i believe from everything i read....it does not matter how it was transferred. as long as a "rifle" upper has not been mounted to it and u follow all of the pistol rules. just wanted to make 100% sure.

im thinking about building an ar pistol in 9mm. i bought a couple of stripped lowers in the psa sale a couple months ago. from a legal stand point im fine as long as the lower has never been mounted to a rifle....correct? anything else i should be aware of? thanks in advance for the help!

went to ditch the barska 10-40x50 i had on the savage last night and replace it with my new redfield scope. the scope tube is too short on the redfield due to the long action of the gun. im assuming i just need offset rings? dual or single? i found these http://www.midwayusa.com/product/390915/weaver-1-top-mount-dual-extended-rings-matte-high im assuming thats what ill need. the redfield is a 4-12-40 btw. i dont think i need "high" rings, but its all i could find. thanks for the help!

shot it today. dont know if its the scope...ammo..or operator error. one shot would be on paper and the next would not. busted a few clays @75 yards but was not consistent. i will try to bore sight it again and try it next time we go out.

sometimes they are really tight. you will have to treat it like the russians did....take a hammer to it and make it budge.

on my 91/30s i push the bayonett downward towards the butt of the gun. spin it 90 degrees to clear the sight post...and it comes right off.

beat me to it! im going to try mine out tomorrow. i have the same exact setup.

i got the mount and scope in today. brass stacker mount and ncstar 2-7 scope. my pins where soldered in and i had to heat them to get them out. only problem i ran into was adjustment in the scope. i had it maxed out and could not get it laser sighted. i had to loosen the mount and tweak it some, but got it where it needs to be. im going to shoot it this weekend. heres the pics

just an update. my mount and scope will be here tomorrow. ill let u guys know how it does this weekend.
