  1. I have an old Ruger MK I that has been in the family for over 40 years. There is no telling what it has been through with 4 kids using it to learn on. I have been giving it some TLC and have it mostly in good shape but I can feel a very slight ridge on the input edge of the breech. I am having some feed issues and wonder is there is a way to smooth the breech with some 600 grit sand paper. Think I could just roll it up and rotate it by hand to clean it up? I have polished the ramp, have a new magazine, and have tried several different brands of 22LR ammo. Thanks
  2. Any opinions on this Kimber, it just looks so good to me that I think I need one. Anybody got one that can post an opinion? I want a 45 that is light enough for an old man to carry from time to time. If I decide to go for it any of you dealers got one in stock?
  3. Newbie here, I just joined a few days ago. Over Christmas I dug out my first rifle that I bought in 1958 with paper route money. As I recall it was around $10-$15 which was probably a months pay for a kid at the time. The Winchester 55 was sold as a single shot, automatic, 22... I have fond memories of placing it across my bike handlebars and riding through town on the way to the dump to shoot rats and cans. Guess that couldn't happen these days. Anyway, I have been looking for a serial number and as far as I can tell there is none. Was there a period of time that SN's weren't required or should I keep looking? I have a few other toys including a new LCP, old 870 and a MINI 14. Really glad to find the board, lots to catch up on. Thanks WME
