Think Cali already does this and more. We know how safe that State has become since that law was implemented in 2019

I can guarantee that when I get through with my last and sole remaining 1911 it will feel a hundred years old
Off to work on that. Less talk, more banging!

What would be really cool is if Ruger started making M&P mag wells for the PC.
That would be nice. One of the reasons I went with the PC carbine was because I have so many Glock mags. Guess you have a lot of M&P mags?

They are totally evil. Will make you think about nothing but shooting with them.
Will quickly drain your bank account because of 9mm ammo purchases.
Initially had the m-lok forend version, but prefer the stock forend now.
Wonder if a 10mm is in the offing...probably not.

Well actually that was not rip on you.
What I intended was that failures to feed "could" be in part due to the aluminum ammo. So the gun "may" be better than it seemed in your post.
CCI aluminum is good ammo, but neither perfect nor the benchmark for reliability.
I used it alot in 9mm and found it quite adequate for classes, etc. I preferred my own brass reloads for ANY competition. Not that the CCI was bad but it is a bit different from brass case ammo. How? Glad you asked. For one, the crimp on the projectile does not seem as firm as on brass cases. That makes sense as aluminum does not have the elasticity. While 9mm worked ok in the guns I used. 38 spl. could be problem as their aluminum cases lacked any significant crimp. Gave up on them for bug matches as they projectiles could work forward under recoil and jam the revolver. I had this happen once on a 45 acp Kimber Carry II during qualification.
So, my point was about the limitations of this ammo.
Hope that clears things up. Glad you posted your experience.
Happy Days !

btw, If you want to mount the Holosun check to see if someone makes an adapter plate to save the grinding down.
See if one of these is right for your setup: https://chpws.com/product/springfield-hellcat-to-holosun-407k-507k-adapter-plate/

Had to shave off two posts and slightly shorten the two remaining ones.
Had a smith do it, but only charged 35 bucks. Just put some cold blue on top of the ground posts, seems to bee all that is needed. My smith has a milling machine so the work was clean with no damage to slide.
Still, it is a pain to have to do this.

Nice comparison.
On my Hellcat setup the rear sight on the Holosun 407 k x2 would be too low. Fortunately the iron sights on the Hellcat are quite visible through the window of the Holosun.
For some reason I can not seem to post a picture of it

I can see using Blazer aluminum to save money shooting a lot. It is hardly what I would evaluate a firearm with.

old thread which had already replied to
Dumb ole me.

Have found one problem and it has to do with a proper owb holster for competition.
Because of the red dot being so far forward on this model it will be hard to get a holster with any kind of grip on the frame.
There is one mfr, forgedttech, with a kydex model I will try.
Doubt that anything will hold it tight enough for any kind of carry. Not that it is meant for that anyway.

Biggest complaint with the TX22 was not being zeroed out of the box, and having a HELL of a time getting it adjusted. You also need an ungodly small screwdriver to adjust the rear sight. I ended up loosening the thing up all the way and eyeballing it back down before getting a zero target and making smaller adjustments.
Yeah the iron sights are funky. Mine is red dot so no problems. If you want to shoot irons the Victory is better, imo

Well that got you to look This is about the Taurus TX 22 Comp (T-reX 22)
Am by no means a Taurus thumper, but they seem to be making some good semi-auto's lately.
My first handgun was a new Ruger Mark 1 bull barrel, late 60's. Shot the heck out of it but never loved the trigger or grip angle. Also, had S&W K-22, Hi-Standard, Buckmark, gosh knows what else through the years. About a year ago a S&W Victory became mine, good gun. For years was a centerfire snob, considering .22's below my handgun FUN standards. The S&W Victory gave me some love back for that caliber. The cost of reloading supplies and factory ammo also played a big part.
A few weeks ago I picked up a TAURUS TX22 from LGS. Mine is the competetion version but does not have a compensator. Promptly put a Vortex Venom red dot on it. Had some ammo problems first time out, but it soon became apparent that this little .22 was a real smooth and reliable shooter. It is quite accurate and seems to readily digest Rem and Fed ammo. The trigger works quite well for steel targets. I prefer the Victory for slow fire bullseye, mostly due to the heavier weight and crisper trigger. Am probably going to upgrade the trigger shortly to eliminate the long take-up on the Taurus.
Went out today to shoot a hundred or so rounds at the action-pistol range. 230 rounds later I had to make myself get back into my car and drive away. Am not saving money if shooting that much ammo so quickly. This little gun is totally addictive. Just keep wanting me to put another mag in and ring some more steel.
Taurus revolvers have been hit and miss in my experience. Twenty or so years ago had a model 85 and loved it as a edc. Have read stories of the newer revolvers locking up or not firing, so never did try another one for carry. (Please don't post how good yours has been. Am just saying that was my impression)
Decided to try the G3c awhile ago as Bud's had them at a affordable price. I love that gun as it fits my hand so well. Conceals ok and shoots quite well (re-did sights). It is not my edc as I generally prefer my S&W Bodyguard .38 or Hellcat for conceal-ability.
Taurus is really stepping up its game lately...IMO
Would definitely buy this again. Might start shooting steel challenge with it.
My T-Rex 22 is made in GA too.

^ What Jayhawker said.
Have shot two different generations of full auto Thompsons. One quite a few times.
If you keep them to a three round burst (trigger control) they will decimate the center of a target.

AMERICA's RIGHT ARM!
*******************
Nice to see a dream come true. And such a great weekend for it.
Still has a gorgeous finish on it. If it were mine, I would take off that cylinder release and wipe the smudge between it and the back of the cylinder wall (Obsessive Cleaning Disorder of mine)
Thanks for sharing the pic of a great gun.

Guess it is interesting?
Quite a bit more weight.
Quite a bit more cost.
Hey, did they ever figure out how to put a good trigger on the M&P (humor).

Let us know how you like it?
Does it function well at the range?

Growing out the collection I see. Best of luck

Pardon my thread kidnapping, but watched our fearless leader yesterday state that AR's are not needed by citizens because they won't stop an F-22.
Apparently, ole smudge pants forgets his teachers saying:
Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.
Worked pretty well in Vietnam. Doubt that any of the Ukranian fighters would turn in their AK's because of Joe's bedazzling claim.

Look online at section 8 of form 4473 . If all are No then he should be ok to go.
Nothing however is assured with the ATF.

Will, pretty well covered it. Some try to make cheaper versions of the Glock system. A few try to sell tricked out versions of a standard Glock. The latter will be higher in cost,
Look at the history of revolvers or bolt action rifles. Once someone comes out with a design that works, everyone tries to build on that engineering. Either offering fancier or cheaper products.
it's life.
Can't believe I just found this treasure!
