  1. This. If you forget your suppressor in the car and your takes it [the car with the suppressor in it] to work then she's in unlawful possession. It happens more than you might suspect. Also keep in mind that the executor to your will may have no idea what to do with a suppressor. I had one executor close the estate while the machine gun was in his possession... for two years. We had to quietly reopen the estate and get the transfer approved by both the ATF and the probate court.
  2. Yes. And you are not required by law to show a stamp at a gun range. The operator may kick you out, but that's their business decision just like no shirt, no shoes, no service. I have no idea where that narrative got started but RSOs aren't the ATF.
  3. I don't know the group or the product. It may be a fine document, but I can assure you having an attorney you can call is worth paying a little more than going with the best price available.
  4. I am moving to Lookout Mtn., TN later this year. Although I have taken the TN handgun permit class in the past, along with many others, I apparently have to take it again since my class was >1 year ago. I would appreciate recommendations for a top notch instructor in the Chattanooga area. I am have taken many handgun classes in the past so it would be great to find a trainer who offers higher level courses that I could attend once I have this entry-level class completed. If possible, I want to establish an instructor-instructee relationship that will carry on to advanced level courses in the area. Thanks in advance, Reed Martz, the midsouthgunlawyer.
