In the words of Harvey Dent: you either die in Sig ND or live long enough to see yourself become a Glock drone.
-
What is this secret unknown third path?
-
Guys, guys, guys. Can't we all agree that Glock, besides having the worst trigger on the market, somehow also created the most ergonomically uncomfortable gun while also magically creating a gun that looks like it was made by Fisher-Price? If we can't agree on that, can't we agree that Glock owners are the absolute vegans of the gun community? I'm jesting, as someone who loves both my Glocks and Sigs. You have two choices in life, get ND'd by a Sig owner or listen to a Glock owner drone on at how great the most uncomfortable gun on the market is. You must choose one of these two paths.

Yes. The 365 was designed from the ground up as a striker fire. The 320 was made by retrofitting the 250 tooling process and equipment. Totally different FCU's.

Selling a Staccato C2. It is basically brand new. Less than 200 rounds through it. Only selling because I just never use it. Safe queen, but it is a beautiful gun and it deserves to be used by someone. I'm in the having kids phase of life and it has just been sitting around. It has the suppressor height and night sights. It is optics cut (I never mounted anything so I don't have an optic plate) but it is optics cut by Staccato. Dawson Magwell Comes with 4 Staccato Mags TXC holster Great set up, I probably have close to $3k in this gun at this point. It's a Staccato and the thing rocks. The only thing it can't do is change my sons diaper. Located south of Nashville but can ship anywhere in Tennessee. If interested in that I’ll cover shipping / insurance. $2,000

I forgot the 365xl also has a legion option. The FCU on the 365 is different than the 320.
-
All 320's are the same internals. If you wanted to switch internals you'd need to go to 226 or 229 legions.

Grok AI pulled the data. And yeah, problems that happened in the 90’s are solved now.

Glock triggers are comically bad, like the worst on the market. if you want to see a Glock fire using the trigger screw “test” that WGP did you can see it here. Manipulating the trigger in any way kind of defeats the safeties on any gun. https://www.reddit.com/r/P320/comments/1mbx58w/glocks_have_the_same_issue_everyone_says_is_only/ A small list of Glocks problems over the years: First it was the April 1992 Product Upgrade, public disclosure of which was spurred by the AD Heard 'Round The World, but which had its origins in Glock's 1991 failure in the DEA "frisbee test." Then it was the contentious issue of the Glock kB!s which the Smyrna, Georgia importer of the immensely popular Austrian-manufactured handgun has yet, more than 11 years after the catastrophic failures started happening on a regular basis, to properly address. Next up were the defective guide rods of the Models 26 and 27 built between mid-September and late-October, 1999. Then came the mysterious "Phase 3 Malfunctions" for which Glock, Inc. staunchly denied responsibility for almost six years before sucking it up and sending a mini-machine shop to City Island, NY to retro-machine over 26,000 of NYPD's Models 19. The days after this news broke, a tip from a source in the 703 area code reached TGZ that "Glock has a big problem:" Glock has recently discovered a serious structual problem with their guns. They redesigned their rear slide rails many years ago to make them longer, but for some reason shortened them again in the last couple of years. This shorter rail, coupled with some bad steel and a machine that stamped the rails incorrectly, is now causing some rear rails to break off the guns. When the rail breaks, it can lock up the gun. Glock went to the FBI and told them about this problem and quietly replaced over 700 frames. They apparently have no intention to tell their other customers about this problem. This problem affects ALL models of Glocks and TENS OF THOUSANDS OF GUNS. The DC Police with 4000 guns, NYPD with 35000 guns. They have a major recall situation on their hands, but like their infamous "upgrade," this will never be called a recall. Although the same defect is present on all the polymer pistols, the company doesn't think the 9 x 19mm cartridge "is powerful enough" to break the rail. Glock Inc.'s initial solution, curiously published on the Glock Shooting Sports Foundation site as opposed to the official Glock site, offered the following: We have made the decision that in the interest of customer service, replacement frames will be offered to anyone who has a firearm in this range ("a very small percentage of GLOCK pistols produced between September of 2001 and May of 2002") and decides to take advantage of this offer. The replacement frames will have identical serial numbers to our customer's original firearm except the numeral 1 will be added as a prefix. I think the min recalls were in early 90’s and early 2,000’s if I remember correctly?

That was the whole point of Yankees video. He kept saying that WGP was only depressing the gun by a millimeter but in engineering a millimeter might as well be a mile. But that design is also why Yankee doesn’t use the 320, he isn’t comfortable with the design. It requires the user to be far more diligent than a normal handgun. You are trading a better trigger and faster pull for less safety. If you can believe it, that was actually a selling point for sig. The WGP project video is great because it is something that can be repeated on that gun and clearly isn’t functioning right. Glock has had at least two official recalls and more “voluntary upgrades.” Smith and Wesson, Springfield XD pistols and Remington are three other companies that have had un commanded discharge issues and were forced to issue recalls. It is not terribly unusual that gun companies end up having mechanical or engineering issues. Same things happen with cars. What is unusual is how little responsibility Sig is taking. That is a far bigger problem than whatever mechanical issue they would need to fix on the 320. This is also why muzzle control always trumps trigger control.
-
Yeah, thats exactly right. The FBI actually called the Glock inherently unsafe. Glock did three major voluntary upgrades in the 90's. People don't remember this but there was a decade of this happening to Glock. Yankee Marshall talks about it here when he responds to the WGP video.

I have multiple that I will continue to use. But I also understand their double internal safety system and how their system works. I am comfortable with what I know about Sig. That could change if some actual data comes to light. I am not looking to buy one if that is what you are asking. but that is more of a storage issue than an sig issue.
-
My main point was not to propose how to solve this as much as saying people will respond one of two ways: They will either be afraid because they don’t understand how machines work or they will understand that if there is a real problem it will be repeatable. Even in your scenario where it might be due to faulty tolerances or something related to manufacturing vs design flaw, this is still replicable if you have that specific gun that discharged. That’s why it’s so important that the specific guns this happens to are investigated. It has to be that gun, an evaluation of the system as a whole is not good enough. This isn’t a wand from hog-warts, it’s a machine and anything that malfunctions on it for one un-commanded discharge will be able to observed and replicated. If something is out of spec it sure as hell isn’t going to come back into spec. The fact that the FBI and others can’t find anything tells me it’s more than likely user error. Obviously we can’t trust sig or any of the other major gun companies to be straight with us because welcome to American capitalism in the 21st century, but there are enough people looking at this that if there is a problem it should be unearthed.
-
lol. I am saying the opposite of what you are implying. If it’s faulty, that should be easy to prove right? its engineering not magic. I have guns from every major company. I could care less about where this ends up. I'm actually suggesting people be less emotional about it.
-
Sig mechanics YouTube is the most in depth analysis of the 320 that exists to my knowledge. He has never been able to reproduce this. I also don’t care about a random YouTuber banging on a modified trigger sig. These are the most modular guns in the market. All this analysis should be done in a controlled and replicable environment The FBI is investigating this and the claims are significant. If there is a fundamental design flaw why can’t it be reproduced? This is engineering not black magic. If I was Glock I’d be dumping money into proving this about the 320 if a problem really exists.
-
I think this is the real question. Which remains to be seen. If this was true you would think the problem could be replicated, especially by the FBI who has been looking into it for months now. Why can’t this be validated in any repeatable format if it’s true?
-
I remember this too. There was actually something called Glock leg during this time. It was a reference to all the discharges by glocks in peoples legs. The more a gun sells, the more people will have accidents.

I have two rear Knights Armament BUIS sight posts for sale. These are Knights Armament KAC rear 600m BUIS, full sized Perfect for a military correct clone build, like the Mk12 or M4A1 Block 2 - Back Up Iron Sight. KAC's line of Backup Iron Sights are currently in use by the United States Army, Marine Corps and numerous law enforcement agencies worldwide. The highly versatile 200-600 Meter Folding Rear Sight features a finger-adjustable, rotating drum that enables shooters to engage targets from 200 to 600 meters with both speed and accuracy. The full-sized 600 meter back up iron sight is used on a number of military rifles from the early years of the Global War on Terror (GWOT), perhaps the most notable for military clone rifle enthusiasts is the Mk12 Mod 1. * I do not have any front posts. These retail for around $300 a piece. They are new and come in plastic bags, the same way they are issued in the Marines. Asking $175 for one or $300 for both. I'm in the Franklin area or can ship using PayPal or Venmo. We can DM to work that out if you want to do that. c.

Hey.. appreciate the interest. I have a few ar10’s and tons of m1a mags. Looking to stay in the m1a family.

I have an 18 inch Springfield M1A scout that is in a VLTOR chassis system. OD Green color, Full length rail, qd points, adjustable stock, etc. I love it.. it's fantastic but I have a few other 18 inch rifles and looking to trade. It is basically brand new, less than 100 rounds down it. I'm interested in any m1a that is 16 inches. Tanker, Socom II, etc, I could be open to anything at any of the 16 inch M1A's that is still in good condition.

Looking for a used beretta 1301 Tactical. 18 inch barrel. Preferably black but would be interested in any color. Not looking for the pistol grip version.
