  1. I have one, but as the meager supply of ammo I recieved with it is more valuable than the rifle, I haven't had the heart to fire it.

  2. I've got an old Mexican Mauser in 7x57. I paid $25 for it. I sporterized, and mounted a weaver scope on it. It shoots pretty good, and I have about $40 in it all total. It is my rainy day deer rifle. I really like it, and at $40, it should qualify as cheap.

  3. My little boys, with the help of mom, made me pancakes and sausage for breakfast. They gave me a card and an Atlanta Braves hat. Later, I had my father over for a fish fry. Then we went out back and shot my Colt Gold Cup National Match for quite a while. It was a very nice day with the family.

  4. Although I agree with virtually everyting Steve Gill says, I rather listen to Hillary Clinton screaming.B) He is intolerable and whiney. I once went to a gun show in Franklin, and he was there jabbering over the loudspeaker. I wanted my money back, and haven't been back.

  5. I haven't been to Game Fair since they moved to their new location from West Nashville, but they were always very nice people. I believe they moved to Bell Meade, or down that way somewhere. They carry strictly top of the line type of stock. If you like antique Winchesters, Parker doubles, or $1200 fly rods, they are second to none in my opinion.

  6. Don't go to any trouble on my account. I was trying to be helpful. Since there are no others who've commented on this thread, it was probably a bad idea. Are there any other fans of summer hats out there? Feel free to chime in.

  7. I prefer light colors; perhaps a light denim or tan front with a white mesh back? I'd suggest that you see how much of a demand there is for them before having them made. I'm only wanting three or four, not a case. Thanks for your timely response.I'd further suggest that camo would probably be a big seller in summer and winter configurations. Thanks again, Greg

  8. I might be the only one, but I'd probably buy some summer hats it you could have one produced. As I work outdoors, I prefer one in a light color with mesh backing. The solid canvas material hats look great, but are very hot in the summer sun. Just a thought.

  9. Our local WalMart actually has several knowledgeable and helpful employees manning the Sporting Goods counter. They also just finished a new display area for the guns, which makes me think they're in no hurry to stop selling guns.

You made a wise move ordering the driver license with your new address. I know the laws regarding them, and so do you. You'd be surprised, however, how many police don't!:doh:A peeing match with a police officer regarding your current address would make your WalMart visit seem like a day at the beach.

  10. I once stopped a speeding trooper. We were working on the road, and he made several trips through the job site at a very high rate of speed to make traffic stops. When he pulled one truck over, I pulled in behind him and told him he needed to quit speeding through the work zone before he got someone killed. The trooper was visibly angry and embarrassed, the truck driver was trying franticly to hold back his laughter, but most importantly, the trooper no longer speeded through the work zone. His badge would not protect him from hitting a dump truck, nor would it prevent him from running over one of the workers. A badge doesn't make a man perfect.
