Try some ranger wrap or grip tape to help.
I’m a huge fan of hockey tape. It’s cheap, and it’s effective.
Basically all my guns get wrapped in it now if they’re gonna get used off of an indoor range.
Since we are talking about shotguns here, I’ll share a pic of my 1301.

Mothballs.
Or do some folks still use them? Just typing this brings back the smell of my grandfather's house.
I use them in the attic and kept them in the storage unit we had for a while.

Nah, I won’t do that. I like you.

Yes it is.

Nope. It was posted by the official Navy social media accounts yesterday, was picked up and then they deleted the posts. They have even acknowledged the deleted image in the current reposts without that image. It’s 100% real.
That was the skipper of the USS John S. McCain in the photo. The official USMC social media has trolled the Navy about it too.

The memes about this have been phenomenal. I can’t imagine how many people no longer have asses after allowing this photo to be taken and disseminated. The gunners mates involved are probably dead.

Congratulations on having your rights restored. I truly mean that as I am a firm believer we should make that process easier instead of creating a permanent class of second-class citizens.
Honestly, though, I have to say that I am most impressed and interested in your use of GPT to assist with what would’ve been the work performed by a paralegal in the past.

The SRO I was talking to was telling me about an altercation that happened recently at a metro school. There were 2 female students fighting in the hallway. A male teacher and the SRO were breaking it up when the SRO somehow lost control of his backup firearm somehow. IIRC, it had been in his cargo pocket, but I could be mistaken. Regardless, one of the girls did gain control of it momentarily, but only very briefly.
I'd call that a fluke and estimate it to be somewhat highly unlikely, but it did happen. I don't plan my life around hoofbeats being zebras instead of horses, but it is worthwhile mental exercise to plan for as much as possible. I still favor arming willing, competent, and capable teachers. I just want them prepared for as many scenarios as possible.
Not to be too mean, but this story really makes it seem like his opposition is based upon his own inadequacies.

I’ve always read it as “as much as we can get this time before we start in asking for more next go around.“

And if we stopped all foreign funding we will essentially be flushed down the toilet of world history. Maybe Chinese and Russian children will be taught in future generations of the capitalist pigs that lived on this continent, but only in terms of reinforcing their own superiority.
Hate to break it to ya, but that page of history has already been written. Our kids and grandkids will get to live it because we gave away everything in search of cheap crap to buy at cheaper prices and the illusion of always fleeting power. The locus of global power has shifted eastward already and we are doing nothing but continuing to impoverish ourselves with our foreign and economic policy and focusing on an irrelevant European continent. China, Russia, and the Islamic world doesn’t have to do anything to destroy us other than not get in our way.

You’re right, prices are gonna shoot up. Instead of sending all this money to Ukraine, maybe we could spend it on our own border security and infrastructures. Just saying…
If we stopped all the foreign funding and aid, maybe we could have nice things for ourselves too. Like good roads and infrastructure. I know Europe’s real proud of that universal healthcare subsidized by American taxpayers in the form of NATO security guarantees.

Then the price of new cars just went up. Like they’re already affordable.
I’ve never considered a brand new car a good buy, but these days it’s just insanity. Especially trucks.

I have a feeling those two tunnels nearby are about to get a workout.
Yeah, and the western leg of the 695, which is 3 times the distance of the leg that the FSK was on is about to get a whole lot more congested with trucks.

Depending on the transportation of goods affected by this incident, you might be paying out of pocket at the store just like everyone has in the past 4 years. Prices have gone up tremendously.
If the bridge is that important then “we” will pay to rebuild it asap. Your tax dollars, mine, and everyone else that pays federal taxes. Even Biden’s government will go after whoever they can for compensation from insurance or the shipping company that owns the defective ship.
Bingo.

Yep. I wonder how much prices in general are going to go up now due to this new hitch in the supply chain. I’m being a bit facetious, but also serious.
Where do the boats with European ammo shipments land? Hope it’s not around there.
It was the #1 intake port for automobiles in 2023. It intakes a lot more than just euro stuff.

Jaw dropping. I remember when the old Jefferson St bridge in Nashville was demolished. It was a big thing, televised event. We all watched in anticipation until the charges blew. and waited,,,and waited. Nothing happened to that unsafe for use bridge. So they did it again the next day and, nothing happened. Took demo experts three attempts to bring down an "unsafe" bridge. One freighter took down Key bridge in seconds.
Second, why does the clown in chief think it's MY tax dollars that are needed to rebuild? Baltimore, the state of Maryland, and the shipping company's insurance companies need to take care of this bridge I've never crossed or even seen in a state hundreds of miles from me and not on a federal interstate highway. Don't tell me the repercussions of this port being closed, NOT MY PROBLEM.
For the record here, the Francis Scott Key bridge is a part of the federal interstate highway system (I-695). It is also a primary conduit of truck traffic through the area and the designated route for hazmat cargo through Baltimore. this will have a significant impact on commerce and logistics, both by land and sea for quite a while until the bridge has been rebuilt.

It was amazing how fast it collapsed. I probably shouldn't have been so surprised but you think something big will take a while but it's not like there are many support points and they are all crucial.
On that note, there’s not a bridge structure on earth that can withstand the force of impact from a 300M/97,000 ton vessel.

Thank God they were able to stop traffic due to the mayday from the ship. I can only imagine how bad this tragedy would have been otherwise.
With the port being closed now and the bridge down for who knows how long, it sure is a huge impact. That was apparently the #1 port of entry for vehicles coming into the US.
It’s also gonna have a major impact on trucking (especially hazmat transportation) along the east coast.
This is a big deal.

If anybody happens to be waiting on a stamp and filed it through e-forms, you should probably login and check. There were a lot of folks that weren’t notified that their stamps came through. Buddy of mine had a stamp approved in three weeks, but didn’t find out for three months.

While I wouldn't put it past Chicago, I don't think they're trying to get some nationwide win here. More like just seeking some easy PR by throwing a case in the courts to say they're "doing something". Like any other battlefield, once the winter fades away, action picks up. March-October is shooting season in the Windy City.
Everytown is part of this action.

Totin' Teachers Bill Heads for a Vote
in 2A Legislation and Politics
Posted
This really feels like a very “feel good” bill that moves the needle very little to none at all. At most, hopefully most of the schools that say no won’t announce it publicly like Memphis did because that removes even the last bit of deterrence factor that there might, just maybe be some sort of armed resistance.
