  1. Good to meet another couple Nolensville guys. Let me know if you want to go shooting sometime. I live behind the old school.
  2. I have the black Hogue stock on my 10-22. I have had zero problems or complaints with it. Mine does have a bull barrel on it so I dont know if you will have any issues with the stock barrel.

    22-250

I really enjoy shooting my 22-250. Mine is a #1 Ruger with bull barrel. Great choice for small game or punching paper.
  4. TN_3 I sent you a PM let me know if you didn't get it
  5. I have a 4200 3-9x40 with the original box. Let me know if you still need the UPC. I live in Nolensville and work in Brentwood.
  6. Congratulations on the win. That was quite a game today. I was hoping that Cinci would win because that would give the Mountaineers a better shot at the Gator Bowl.
  7. I am considering getting one of these and wanted to know if anyone out there has had an experience with them. I have been reading alto of reviews about Kimber and they have been a mixed bag. Some people really love them, and others think that are not worth the price tag. I plan on using this as a sidekick for my Ruger 6.5x55
  8. I recently purchased a Bushnell Elite 4200 3x9. I have been very impressed with it. I don't know what your budget is, but this is a scope that is defiantly worth considering.
  9. The Stones River complex is nice and runs a very tight ship. The charge is $5.50 for two hours. You can rent shooting rest and spotting scopes also if needed. They have several different ranges. Make sure to bring ear and eye protection.
  10. It was the same ole Nashville show. They did have a better selection of ammo than I have scene in recent months.
  11. Thanks for all the options guys. I will have to start looking into some of them next time I get the the gun show. The gun doesn't have to be new, just new to me. I do already have a 10/22 that I love ( hogue stock and butler creek barrel with 4x scope). To clarify a bit. I have started to become friends with a few guys who don't know anything about guns. I know we are planning on getting together soon and wanted to have something that is easy to load and operate (keeping safety in mind) ,and something they could shoot alot that doesn't have high recoil or cost me an arm and leg to shoot. A cousin of mine used to have a little bolt action 22 that was a single shot with a peep sight.
  12. Anyone have a suggestion on a good bolt action or single shot 22 rifle? I already have a 10-22. I know that CZ makes some good stuff, but I don't really want to spend $400 on a 22 right now.I plan on using this for punching paper (something that my wife can shoot) and possibly a little squirrel hunting. Let me know your suggestions. Please include model numbers.
  13. Hey neighbor
  14. Ruger Model 77 Mark II in 6.5x55 with 3x9 scope works just fine for me.
  15. First, I wanted to let everyone know how much I have enjoyed reading all the threads. Alot of good information out there. Hopefully I will be able to make it to one of the Middle Tenn shoots soon to meet some of you. Anyways, I just bought my first AR last month ( RRA Predator Pursuit). Now I need to purchase a scope and some rings. Anyone have any suggestions ( brand and size). I would like to stay around $500 for both, but that is a little flexible. I have no need to take the scope off and put it back on again. I have been looking at the Bushnell Elite 4200's. I plan on shooting paper until I can get home again to do a little varmint hunting. I would like to be able to shoot 150-200 yards or so. Appreciate the help.
  16. Ghawk is correct. You need to put some type of dust (boric acid/ seven dust) into the hole then fill it and restain/paint. They typically come back to the same spot so you most likely will have to do this for a few years until you can break the cycle. Good luck
  17. Hey guys and gals, I recently bought my first AR after debating for a long time which type to get. I settled with a RRA predator pursuit. I was wondering what type of scope do you use on your AR varmint platform (size and brand). I don't shoot as much as I should or would like to. I intend to mostly target shoot with this gun ( hopefully all the holes will be close together). I plan on spending around $400 on the scope. What kind of rings do you like also? Any input is appreciated

    Carbon barrels?

I have a Butler Creek fluted barrel on mine. It shoots real nice.
