    1911s

People complain about the series 80 fp safety and you are correct in that it was an answer to a question nobody asked, and people who say the fp safety degrades trigger pull accuracy but I am not that good that it hurts me. I have shot plenty of IDPA and never had an issue. Having said that the next one I buy will not be a series 80, I don't see the need for another safety on a 1911. Also speaking of 1911 safeties has anyone had problems/issues with the swartz safety on Kimbers?
  2. I have been and am currently out of state working so I haven't checked in, in a while. What is the status of this? The way I saw it a suitable range was the hold up. Did anyone ever come up with an idea? I am defintely interested depending on the dates (I travel for work, and FYI Dugway SUX). Thanks.

You don't have to be an old timer to appreciate a Colt. I have 2, a full size (which I ave had for about 14 years) and an officer's model both are series 80 and they are as good if not better than my buddy's kimber, which by the way has had problems the last 3 times we went to the range. The Colt series 80 is a good intro as well. While the series 80 is the economy line I shot mine stock for years with no issues.
  4. Shotgun - currently hunting with an older Remington 1100 though I still love my A5 Pistol - 1911 I have full size and officers model for carry AR with all the bells and whistles I geek out on this one lights, laser, eotech, etc. High Powered Rifle currently I have a .300 win mag, solid stock, scope, rings and bipod Last but not least an M1 Garand, got mine through the CMP If I could only have 5 these would be them. These 5 can do everything I need them to but like most other people I have more and want even more!

    My New 1911

VERY nice. The few times I have been in there I drolled over Jeff's work. When I get the scratch I am definitely getting one fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it I just bought the wife a S&W from there (only unfortunate becasue some of the dough I could put toward a new 1911 went toward the revolver but well worth it) and really wanted a 1911 like yours. But I settled on dropping off a Colt Compact series 80 that Jeff did a trigger job, throat and polish and I am very happy with this little pistol. Anyway NICE 1911 and Jeff does excellent work and the whole staff there at Hero has been excellent on my few dealings with them!
  6. Colt Pony Pocketlite for front pocket carry.
  7. North. Florence and Athens, Limestone County although I was born in Shelbyville, TN, just took a while to get back:)
  8. New guy here. I moved to TN from AL not too long ago and first order of business was to get my carry permit. Things work a little different in TN than AL but almost 3 months later and I got it in the mail and now everything is good to go. Well I am looking forward to the website, thanks.
