  1. OK.....I have one for you. I have seen AR's on a M4 platform go auto. It was related to one extra drop of oil placed specifically on the bolt & carrier and a gentle finger pull. No mods to this rifle or others that this took place on. This information first came out of South Carolina. Does anyone else have information about this? I own several AR's and this made me uncomfortable. (no M4 platforms)
  2. If you do not mind me asking, what kind of ammo are you using?
  3. I am buying all I can pay for until November election is over and the results are clear towards gun control. After that, I don't know what kind of excuse I can use when my wife finds out. Then I'll make a new plan.
  4. Sent to me from a buddy in SC. http://www.usatoday.com:80/news/quickquestion/2007/november/popup5895.htm As of this afternoon you would be surprised at the land slide results.
  5. I wish to send my wife to this school for carry....I wil visit your web site.
  6. I appreciate the posts here. It seems that we are ignorant about self defense. I live in West Nashville. A few weeks back, I was in a hurry to get inside the house and use the bathroom when I sat off the alarm. Within a few moments the alarm speaker is blasting out "are you all right?" I have a speaker/mic in my bathroom among other places that I can answers these responses quickly. Of course I was sitting down (if you get the picture) and shouted "yes" at the top of my voice. I was asked for a password and I gave it out but they could not hear it. "Please stand closer to the speaker." I pulled up my pants and moved to the microphone/speaker (under stress) and provided the password. The alarm company did not have the correct password that was changed a month or so back. They had already dispatched the Metro PD but said they would recall them. Thirty minutes later the police came anyway. Gosh! My wife forked out a bundle to get this security system. I hope it will wake me up in time if any intruder comes in. I believe that I could dispose of the body and clean up before the police get there. You folks that live in zip 37205, should take care. It seems that all of my neighbors have alarm systems, but............That's where I live. I think a good barking dog would be better than the alarm system.
  7. Thanks for providing this link. I hope everyone reads it.
  8. Is anyone familiar with the R84 form filled out by the FBI? Just try to get one of these filled out. I had a charge (my only one ever) that was dismissed by a federal judge and could not get the FBI office to complete a simple form regarding the judgement. This would prevent me from purchase of a weapon through FFL's. (background check) This prevented me from going through the normal channels of the purchase of weapons through an FFL. I tried for several months and made no progress. I gave up but I may try again if I can avoid spending money on a lawyer. Does the law enforcement agency (FBI) do this as routine or for what reason?
  9. I have one but I do not carry a hand gun. The P32 has function fine for me and I only purchase FMJ's as mentioned in other posts. I only take it out and shoot for fun. I purchased a 10-rnd mag with a nice extension and it fits my hand very well. It was a little hard to find the 10 round mag. You can get a pocket clip for these but like I said, I do not carry. I have a buddy that has the 3PAT. It functions well for him. The early production models of the 3PAT had a known feed issue so be careful to check this out.
  10. I have sent a protest-type email to Kroger customer service and encourage members to do so.
  11. Here is a post regarding some problems. I am still going to try it out. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=5&f=20&t=45846&page=2
  12. I am new and do not post very much but I read a lot of posts. This appears to be a good site as I have observed from the member posts that I have read so far. I am please to see many of my fellow Tennesseans active on this forum and hope they are good responsible gun owners as their posts lead me to believe. I am 68 now and received my first rifle at age 14 for Christmas. I did my first field strip on Christmas day and it changed my life. Wow, springs, milled parts, stamped parts, castings and wood parts were everywhere. My interest expanded into various things like heat, stored energy, physics etc. from understanding how things work in my rifle. My attention to safety was enhanced to a new level. I guess it was a part of my growing up and it was a positive event. My friends and I would take our guns to school and store them in a car so we could hunt/shoot before and after school. I had my rife sent to me in College and I kept it in my room to use on weekends out in the Snowy Range in Wyoming. Many of my friends did the same. We did not shoot each other back then. I still own it and hope to pass it on to my grandson if he proves to be responsible. My wish is that all of the posters and members here will do their dead-level best to see that the 2nd Admend. is not watered down and all young folks will be allowed to have the experiences that I have had with gun ownership. You all please keep this forum going. I am not much of a posting kind of a person but I enjoy reading the posts. Some of you are very smart people. Thanks, Ron
