Than moving a 400lb gun safe by yourself?   🤨

I had help getting it onto the trailer but after that it was ALL me. Unloading, standing it up & moving it around the garage all by myself. At 63, I'm TOO old for this crap anymore!

Having said all that, I did get it done. Never again!   👨‍🦽

You could have also posted for some help. I am in Cleveland and would have happily supervised that evolution. 🙂

  2. Dang buddy, I am very sorry to hear this. I know I am slow on getting back to you on stuff. But do know I consider you my brother, yes even though you are Air Force, and I support you. You and your family will be in my prayers.

  3. I got married on 03 and I retired in 05 from the USN. Our plan was for me to be the house husband. We both had our own guns and motorcycles with plans to shoot and ride. I stayed busy with house work, yard work, vehicle maintenance and cleaning guns and handloading ammo. In 06 our son was born. Motorcycles sit idle most of the time and guns are locked in the safe. I am ran ragged doing what needs to be done. I cant remember how I got anything done when I was still on active duty. 🙂

I'd starve under that guidance. My yard doesn't seem to be able to grow 💩 .

Same here and what little I can grow wont feed us all. Also on the other hand I am not sure i can grow the proper things to make gochujang.

  5. I will not present your offer to my son. He would jump at it. However he has to care for his other three fish tanks, snake and gecko and I dont want to have to deal with more. LOL

Ya know, videos like this really explain why certain countries are so far behind the rest of the world. I watch a lot of those videos from websites like liveleak and it's always people in the 3rd world countries making the worst decisions.

And LiveLeak is gone now. It was part of my daily internet troll for years, with Ogrish before it was LiveLeak.

  7. I will take my wedding over that one. I was still active duty in San Diego, the future wife was still in TN. We decided to do the chapel thing in Gatlinburg.  We rented a B&B up in the mountains for the guests. I had Sailors coming in from CA, OR, WA and MI. The B&B was basically three houses and three hot tubs. Lets just say the civilian guests of my wife didnt mix well with the Sailors that I served with. We had a great three days in the mountains before we fly to Hawaii for the honeymoon.

  8. I only lived in Temecula for for a few years, moved up there from South Bay, IB area. I was out there at the request of the USN. 🙂 I did 16 in the San Diego area and 4 in Hawaii. I was a member of South Bay Rod and Gun for much of the 90's.

I think it does. I can generally handle 100*in Phoenix better that 85* at home in Dyersburg.

Same here! When I lived in Temecula, CA summer temps would regularly push in the high 100's and as long as you moved in and out of the shade, its comfortable enough not to die. 90 degrees here with our humidity makes me want to die when I am out doing my yard work. 😉

That is absolutely normal. No test rides without cash in hand. I have never test ridden a bike unless it was a dealer.
The stories of people wrecking bikes on test rides and then leaving the owner (or owners insurance) high and dry on the repairs are far to common.
I have never allowed anyone to ride any of my bikes without cash in hand. I will let them sit on it, I will start it, I will run it up and down the road in front of them but unless they have handed me a wad of cash they are not going to ride it out of my garage. If they ride it and find some issue or wish to back out of the deal for whatever reason I will negotiate or simply hand them their money back.

    That right there.

During my foray into aircraft maintenance, i learned quickly that whatever the problem, determine the most expensive part, especially if it's also the hardest to get to, and replace that first.  Works every time ...

That certainly worked on the helicopters I wrenched on.

This brings a question to mind. If pulled over and I have a dash cam running, do I let the officer know upfront or wait and see if they ask me about it? I'm currently looking at this one to buy..

What would be the purpose of having a camera recording the interior of the vehicle? I really dont see that need for me, but if I were UBER or something like that I could see the need.

If I had that many guns I would never advertise it. Just asking for trouble. I've had friends ask before how many guns I have and I've lied.

My usual response is "More than some, less than others. But generally speaking, not enough".

When you say don't go cheap on the SD card, what does that mean?  Buying one with lots more memory?

I would assume that they are speaking of SC card speeds. The higher speed the more they cost. I have been wanting to get a dash cam. So I am following this thread to learn as much as I can before I plop down the cash.
