No mods except for Tasco 2.5 10x42 scope. 3, Remington 10 rd magazines. Case in NOT included. I haven't bought or sold anything on here in years, but I bought an AR15 last Christmas and can use the cash to offset. I live in Bellevue, West Nashville and 3 minutes from the Royal Range. Must be legal to purchase/own a firearm with valid TN DL. $265 Thank you for looking.
  2. I have a set of Meprolights that I want installed on a Colt LW Commander. The front sight is a staked. Who is a skilled and reliable gunsmith to take it to in Nashville?
  3. Maybe he thought it was like one of those Motown, spoken word bridges
  4. It's no longer both types; country and western. Ain't been that way for a long ass time now and I'm glad of it. Country music has just grown (out of its own popularity) the way of pop and rock have, ie pop country, rockin' country or traditional / roots country. Stop yer' whining and listen to what you like. Just as long I don't hear it in my living room as you drive down the street. :-)
  5. Got ya' and all the other folks covered in my prayers bro. Take care.
  6. His displeasure with the direction country music is / has taken. Okay, okay, not a true, crop eating locust plague of Biblical proportions means the Almighty still likes Keith Urban, Rascal Flats and Taylor Swift. He's just not happy calling it country. You heard it here first.

Connecticut teenager James Tate will be go allowed to go to prom after widespread outcry By Nina Mandell DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER Saturday, May 14th 2011, 6:01 PM Handout Sonali Rodrigues (right) accepted James Tate's request to be his prom date, but he was banned by the principal. After being banned for what many considered an adorable gesture to ask a classmate to prom, Connecticut teen James Tate can put on his dancing shoes. The reversal of the high school senior's ban came after lobbying from students, people across the country – and even from the high school's most famous alumnus, Texans quarterback Dan Orlovsky. "I've decided to implement alternative consequences on a case by case basis beginning with James Tate and for other students who received suspension after April 1st, which would then permit some to attend prom," Shelton High headmaster, Dr. Beth Smith, said in a statement on Saturday. The high school senior was banned from the dance after he asked his classmate Sonali Rodrigues to be his date – by sneaking into school grounds late at night to post the message outside of the school's entrance reading "Sonali Rodrigues, Will you go to the prom with me? HMU – Tate." HMU is shorthand for "hit me up." As most people – including Rodrigues – found the way he asked to be adorable (she, of course, said yes) school officials were not amused. They suspended Tate and his two friends – and because school policy is to ban anyone from the prom who was suspended after April 1 – it seemed like he wouldn't be donning a tux. "I thought they would appreciate my sincerity and creativity," Tate said on the "Today" show. "I thought maybe a reprimand — clean it up — which I was willing to do, and I ended up doing [it] on Sunday night, but instead, there's an investigation." But the story caught fire and administrators eventually reversed their decision. More than 197,000 people joined a group on Facebook "Let James Tate Go to the Prom" and in addition to "Today," Tate made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's late night show. In her announcement on Saturday, Dr. Smith, accompanied by other school officials and the town's mayor, said she wanted the focus to be put back on learning. "I never thought that such a decision would lead to international notoriety as I make tough, unpopular decisions on a daily basis," Smith told reporters. 14. Human Rights Group Calls for Iran to Cancel Sentence by Blinding Man With Acid Published May 14, 2011 | FoxNews.com [/url] AFP Photo of Ameneh Bahrami after the attack. A human rights group has called on Iran to cancel the sentence of blinding a man who was convicted of throwing acid in a woman's face, the Daily Telegraph reports. A court sentenced Majid Mohavedi to have acid dripped into his eyes in retribution for pouring acid in Ameneh Bahrami's face in 2004 after she spurned his offers of marriage. She was left blinded from the attack. Amnesty International is calling for a halt to the sentence, sayings its too harsh. "Regardless of how horrific the crime suffered by Ameneh Bahrami, being blinded with acid is a cruel and inhuman punishment amounting to torture," an Amnesty International spokesman told the Daily Telegraph. Iran has postponed Saturday's blinding sentence of Mohavedi, Reuters reports. "The punishment of Majid was scheduled to be carried out on Saturday at a hospital but it has been postponed," Iranian news agency Fars quoted an unnamed official, according to Reuters. Bahrami wants the sentence to be carried out. "The verdict is completely legal and I would like to carry it out," she told the Telegraph. She has gone several operations since the attack which left her severely disfigured. Under Iran's Islamic law, retribution is permitted in cases of bodily harm. 15. Vanilla flavored Duncan Donuts coffee my kid bought for me. Much better that the Kroger stuff I'm used to that tastes like a cardboard box. Hell, we might make this a weekend treat.
  16. Outstanding donation of your time and efforts. Thanks for posting. I might just get up off my a$$ soon too.
  17. On the other hand, the headmaster should be shunned until the start of the next school year.
  18. We moved from Memphis about 25 years ago. I couldn't say too much for it then, but we've often thought of a day trip back to visit all the sites (new and old). You be absolutely terrific there as it's all what you make of your surroundings. Oh, the best bbq I had there was out of my own backyard. No bias of course. :-) Rock on brother!
  19. I dunno' ...looks like a (hopefully) buoyant aluminum hull, laminate wood deck, comfy commander's chair and water resistant stowage. And all for $100. I wonder what the trailer would look like :-)

    But which 1911 ????

I was looking about a year ago for my first 1911 (in a little lower price range) after having owned a few 9mm's. I thought I had narrowed it down to a GI Expert or MilSpec. But after the store owner let me look at the RIA FS Tactical just for giggles, it just felt better in the hand. The slide, release, safety and trigger all felt better. So that's what I bought; what felt best in a reliable, affordable handgun. In hind sight, I wish there would have been a commander size option, but it's not really been an issue so far. So get out there and start fondling the wares! That's the funnest part.
