  3. More than likely he'll be in Murfreesboro this weekend....
  4. Duct tape? I have yet to drink the AR .

    ARvsAK

I'm an AK type. I never comb my hair and sometimes forget to wear deoderant. I have been keeping an eye out for a .308 AR, I'd like to have one rifle for deer and zombies. The VZ's are great, even the "cheap" Century builds are nicer than your average AK. I personally have never seen the purpose in a semi-auto, $1000, milled AK. My nicest is a SGL21 Arsenal, and even it's to nice to treat like an AK. My poor Romy, she gets treated bad and keeps ticking right along.
  7. Yeah, they are pretty cool. Pricey though, for an AK. Sampson mfg makes a pictanny rail that replaces the rear sight leaf, but you are left optic only.
  8. LaRue Tactical AK-IronDot Pretty neat, and you keep your BUIS.
  9. Guilty, but my peeps appreciate it.
  10. I need some JHP 9mm. Walmart in Smyrna, Dick's in Mt. Juliet and Bass Pro at Opry Mills were completely out yesterday!?! I'm checking Academy @ Cool Springs at lunch.
  11. Thanks for the link. I think I'm gonna pick up some .308 next time I see them in town.
  12. This show was at the TN fairgrounds..... What happens at the fairgrounds stays at the fairgrounds.
  13. Anybody shooting this stuff? They had decent prices at the funshow, and the nice lady was selling her tail off, so I got 500 rounds of the target 9MM. I was really wanting to pick up some .308 but thought I'd research them a little first. She said there was a review on TGO, but I'm surfing on my phone and it makes 56K look like an Olympic sprinter.
  14. Yes, Please. I'll take two.
  15. I wouldn't feel guilty at all. Your friend offered it to you as appreciation, and sounds like you do a lot for him to justify it. Just keep taking care of each other, thats what lifes about.
  16. Now that you're in tight with them, how 'bout proposing a Keltec Sub2000 knock off, but built to Glock standards?
  17. I hate to rush it, but I'm really looking forward to taking my son out in the field. He's 11 months... I got a while. Good on you, looks like the boy is a shot as well.
  18. Me too. Let's split an order. I'll take the girls, you can have the vodka...

    Ak-47 input

To be fair, they did warn it was a Temporary sale. They bottomed out at $499 back in Oct. Ask me how I know.
  20. You do any good?
  21. Just keep looking around. I got a 10/22 with Butler Creek stock, BC .920 bull barrel AND a leupold 4x scope for $300. It's more accurate than me, and the extra weight of the barrel makes it more stable when dumping the magazine as fast as I can. Edit - I just read the OP post. Aftermarket barrels are the way to go. The cost is about the same. It's not under $100, but the Sweet .22 Scope is awesome for a target gun...
  22. We went to Tumbling Creek Lodge, Its off the Bucksnort Exit of 40. I'm planning a trip back soon, I'm hooked.
  23. If you do decide to alter the original parts, make sure to test fire with 2-3 rounds in the mag. People FLIP when they hear full-auto....
  24. Thats my plan for Saturday
  25. We got into a big covey we were pushing, the action was hot, and I almost bought a dog. That was another rookie mistake I won't pull again. I was good about not "shooting down" at the birds, but two headed up hill and one of the dogs had pointed way up the hill, and decided to break off and chase the two flyers. The brush was too thick to see him until I had already pulled the trigger. Another second and he'd have ran right into a face full. Thankfully it didn't happen, and I refocused my awareness. A bird ain't worth a dog...
