  1. Welcome and congrats on the escape.  I escaped as a kid in the 70s and am glad I did.
  2. Ah, found this review of the place on Yahoo.  Seems they agree with you... (punctuation and spelling is theirs not mine)   this place was nasty just plain nasty we went down 4 bike rally 07 @ grinder switch it was the only thing in that area that was not booked up it was a rat hole never again would i stay there in that condition plain nasty i am telling u
  3. I'm late to the discussion, always seem to be...   I'm a fan of the Adventure Medical sheets, bivvy, etc.  They are stronger than the normal space blankets and come in different options to fit your plan.  We have some space blankets too for extras and other misc needs.   As for the place, I'm glad I don't know where it is in TN. Are you ready to share the secret yet?   It does remind me a of a motel I stayed at in California when I had a last minute business trip where the US Open was being held.  It was the only available location at a very unreasonable rate.  I wished I had a sleeping bag or even one of the space blankets to sleep on.  Not a nice place.
  4. I'm late to the topic, but I'm having the same dilemma.    Here's an alternative view, though.  If you want to buy something now or anytime soon, you're not going to pay what you could have 2 weeks ago.  The market has just changed.  It may come back but most of us doubt it will anytime soon.   My approach so far - I'll attempt to trade first on TGO.  But, I may end up posting on an auction site and let the market set the price.  If I end up getting an inflated market price, then that makes it easier for me to pay an inflated market price for something else I want/need.
  5. It's not automated.  People select you, but it doesn't mean you know them or they know you.  So, I'd call that spam.  Check out who is requesting you and if you share any level of contact with them.  Otherwise, if you can't figure out how you know the person, then it's likely a recruiter.
  6. I have a Single Six 22 I use to get my kids (and other new shooters) starting shooting. It is single action as mentioned and shoots nicely. It seems the better options in 22 double actions are the older revolvers. I've read some good things about Hi-Standard Double Nines but haven't shot one.
