  1. Is this the mount you are referring too? It states you can put the magnifier on there...? How will that work if the Eotech 512 holograph sits on the main part? it is lower than the smaller riser toward the rear...will not the magnifier not line up properly? Sorry for the questions that are simple..I am not versed and am still learning. American Defense MFG, LLC | Browse | EOTech Mounts I assume then with this mount, and the Magpul flips that they can be used with the Eotech 512 and the magnifer flipped to the side? Is the 1/3 lower term meaning lower view through the Eotech? are the ADM rails any good? are all their products decent?
  2. what is a decently made/priced rail? Daniel Defense? I have the UTG iron sights, but only the front is flip. what is a good set of flips?
  3. Hello, My current setup is a S&W MP15OR. I have purchased a EOTech 512, of which still needs to properly sighted as last time i shot the right is was slightly off to the left. I have been looking at mounts, such as the Larue QT110. In the near future I would like to add a Magnifier, still trying to to figure out a good one...the EOtech is quite expensive...good lord. I also have a set of UTG IRON sites, both front and rear that can be placed on the rail. 1) Is there a way to keep the iron sites on and use the Optics? If so how? 2) If I do utilize a Larue mount for the EOTech, do I need a riser or separate mount for the magnifier? If so, could someone outline a strategy for which work together. I also have the Magpul MOE Grips and I am not real happy with them. Getting ready to perhaps get a Hogue grip and perhaps a quad rail with better VFG. I am eyeing the UTG ( in know it is a budget, but it would be all I could afford after getting a nice optics system finalized). Thank you for the look see and suggestions. If anyone would like to assist me (teach) more about the finer points and get this rifle sighted properly, I live near and belong to Norris range. Have a great Sunday and enjoy the weather!
  4. Hi Garufa...I thought you would chime in, glad you did. I guess to be more specific, when pulling it all the way back slowly it seems to hang. When doing it like you are in battle or (lock and load), it works fine. Also, my bolt does stay open on the last round. It has a Yugo magazine. Just would like some help and knowledge transfer. Have a great holiday Garufa, and thanks for replying. Your avatar always makes me laugh.. jC
  5. Hello, I just got an underfolder (m70AB). I have never owned an AK and am not certain of the bolt/slide action, it seems as though it catches just a bit, but again, i am no expert and am asking if someone can help me by taking a look with me. I also have a new Eotech 512 on my AR that I could use some assitance getting sited properly. I shoot at Norris if anyone in the are could help. As always, it is much appreciated. I am eager to put a few through this underfolder. Thanks a bunch. And Happy Holidays. JC
  6. Thank you DMark.... I do so love the smell of napalm in the morning. Is this one ? http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/storeproduct751.aspx jC out
  7. Hello, I have searched quite a bit and have read a great deal on other forums reading about the differences of the Yugo underfolders that I am wanting. However, I cannot seem to find the M70B2 non T version. Century Arms are all over the place. I am not being a snob, but I am looking for something specific. I tried Gunbroker and there is one, but he is starting at 1200 bux almost. Any idea how to tell what the trunion difference is in the pix or know of a vendor that carries them? JC
  8. I was out shooting my new AR15 S&W MP15. A person there commented that I was shooting ****ty ammo through a nice gun, the ammo is Wolf (steel case) ammo that I bought from AimSurplus. It clean the rifle very thorough and it fired without any problems. Does the Russian, steel ammo cause problems with the rifle? Should I be using a brass bullet? Thanks. Everyone has an opinion, but I am new to this and want to find out what the deal is behind his comment. JC
  9. Thanks. Ordered some PMags 30rd for AR. Came out to 12 bux each shipped. Not bad. Thanks for the heads up.
  10. ah..i found one. Google Image Result for http://stickman.rainierarms.com/galleries/WeaponEvolution.com/IMG_4734%201028%20WEVO%20Stick.jpg
  11. Can someone please help. I got the new spring and indent..could someone please post a photo of how far the indent is supposed to go down in the hole? how much should be hitting the buffer tube and how much of it showing should be holding back the spring in the buffer tube with the weighted plug? I am having some troubles... thank you. JC
  12. I ordered replacements for 6 and 7. I did fix it however, temporarily, and it works fine. The buffer tube was the problem, part of the threaded area was "jacked up" it was not properly going in. I got it from the same people that send me the magpul kit, so i put the original back on and all it good. Thanks everyone.. now i just need someone to help me zero it in and teach me bit a about it. any volunteers? I shoot at Norris.
  13. Thank you very much Supafly. You are correct, parts 6 & 7. Actually, the pin seems fine, it is the little spring that is jacked. Anyone have another? I will check the buffer tube insertion dimension. I turned it in quite a bit, it is my first time and I did not want to tear anything up. But more than likely that is problem, I think it was in only so far that the pressure against it was the only thing holding it in place, and no portion was on top to prevent it coming out. I put the castle nut on and snugged it down well (after three times of putting it on backward, the magpul ASAP backward, etc.) lol. Not certain why it got messed up though. Does anyone have another spring, or now where I can get one locally? Great insight and help. Thank you very much.
  14. Was adding a Magpul MOE kit and some how the little buffer tube retaining pin and spring got jacked. Is there anyone locally that has a replacement spring? I live in the Oak Ridge/Clinton area. Dont know what happened, but when i pull back the firing pin handle/bolt, it got jacked...not sure what the problem was/is? I put everything back properly, or at least I thought. It is only held there by the buffer tube tension, correct? If anyone can help me out, this week/weekend a sixer would come to greet your hands. Thanks JC
  15. I got the S&W from CDNN. Should be able to pick it tomorrow or Tuesday. Now, I need a sling and an optic...oh and some ammo.
  16. Thank you sir for all the information. No Coal Creek ever again...NEVER..they are they worst. I am probably going to order from CDNN...799 with 18 mags for SW&MP I will probably get a simple optic for it as well...next is ammo. I will need some help with siting it properly.
  17. Thanks. What is a good inexpensive beginner optic that functions well? They have reticles, scopes..holograph too expensive right now. Still have to buy ammo...lol. And that is another topic. what ammo to get? When I get all this stuff, going to have to find someone in the Knoxville area to help me out with it. Thanks again.
  18. it is detachable. Being new to all of this makes for complication. Good thing there are boards like this to help out.
  19. which S&W is the best deal? the 799 optic ready, 949 with handle? it gets higher with the rails and other items..not real certain of the differences rather than the sights and handles? how much does an optic cost? if i get the 799 rifle i will have to get some sort of sight. thanks for all the help. I am assuming the SW is both .223 and 5.56... JC
  20. I know there a several AR threads, but this would be my first and am not real familiar with advantages of all the different technology. Of course price point comes into play. the CDNN web store has M&P rifles (AR15 .223/5.56?) for pretty good deal. 799 Optic ready or 949 for the carry handle and sights. 18 Free Mags with them. OR SigSauer 556 rifle and a free Sig 556 .22lr. I know the Sig costs more, probably double the S&W? The price is not posted. Not certain if it is really worth it, but I know you are getting the other rifle included as well. So, the dilemma is s&W for less money and 18 mags or 2 rifles for more money? The warranty on the S&W is lifetime i believe. I am sure both are good guns, but wanted to see what those who own them or both would comment on the deal from CDNN? Thanks. JC
  21. chunkee

    Romanian PSL's ?

    Hmm...I am wondering also.
  22. chunkee

    AR-15???

SO the deal at CDNN for the AR15-SW...they say .223...will they not shoot the 5.56..was going to pull trigger (haha) on one for 799 and 18 free mags with it...seems like a great deal but did not know if they could shoot both? anyone clarify if the smith and wesson MP rifles are able to shoot both?
  23. My Ball Ammo surplus from Classic Arms does the same thing. I noticed it after a few boxes that the casings are split near the curvature right before the bullet. Its the Yugo stuff. I have some expensive stuff my bro in law sent (brass) stuff from GAGuns or something like that. That guns shoots great! My first rifle. 1926 that I refinished...looks like the red violin.
