  1. the knife bug. I've got it bad. I went to Smoky Mountain Knife Works the other day and ended up with an ESEE-5. Now I want, no I need, a Busse FFBM. How am I going to feed my gun addiction and a knife addiction??? Anyone have a spare Busse they want to get rid of really cheap?

  2. Anybody shooting one of these? If so, how has reliability been? I've got a Sig 522 but I've liked the MP5 styling of the GSG. Wish I'd bought one before HK sued and the prices went up.

  3. Thanks for the advice everyone. It is a live round. My big concern was whether or not the rimfire primer would detonate with prying pressure. I tried doing a little bit of research and couldn't find anything conclusive. I'll work on it tonight.

  4. I had a round jam in my Mark II this morning. Fully seated and stuck. I think I could pry it out with a jeweler's screwdriver, but that seems like a bad idea with a rimfire. Anyone have any suggestions?

  5. Craig, I carry a Glock 36 in the summertime and a Dan Wesson CCO in the wintertime. The Glock (like most Glocks) is a tank. It shoots anything I put in it and begs for more. My CCO is slightly more picky, but it carries nicely and has been a very reliable gun. Both are carried comfortably in Crossbreed Supertucks, but I also have a C5 Leather IWB and OWB holster for the CCO. I love them both for what they are and would not get rid of either of them.

  6. I have nothing to contribute other than to request you take and post pictures of a Turkish gun store or whatever the merchant's bazaar might look like.

I'll try to get some pics if I get down there again. Here's their website too- ukurova Av ve Spor

There are some pics of the shop in there.

  7. Pops used to have some really nice leather gun cases -- might be worth a look if you're killing time on the alley.

Yeah, Pop's is still the place. I broke down and got a new flight jacket and will probably pick up one of the gun rugs before I leave. The prices are just too good to pass up.

  8. I bought two back in 1999 when I was deployed to Incirlik. There were a couple of brothers (names something like Mahmet and Bahment) that ran a small shop about 1/3 of the way down the alley from the base -- wonder if that's where you're deployed and if those two are still there.

This place is on the alley, a couple of blocks before you get to Pop's. May be the same place. I think I've talked myself out of it. I don't currently shoot skeet/trap and I think the $750 they're charging could be better spent back home.

  9. I'm currently deployed to Turkey and have a chance to buy Huglu shotguns at pretty descent prices. I'm not really a shotgun guy but I've got my eye on a 103FE 28" over/under with some nice filigree work and a beautiful walnut stock. Fit and finish look really nice and the dealer is a reputable one with a distributor in Texas that handles all of the import paperwork. Does anyone have any experience with these guns?

  10. The guy that owns this company is a douche. I just called to check the inventory on my order. They didn't have the Eberlestock pack I had ordered so I was trying to see what they did have so that I could still make a purchase. As I was talking to his wife he gets on the phone and says, "Look, we're going out of business and we're not in the best of f---ing moods. Just place your f----ing order and get off the phone." Probably why he's going out of business.
