I got a Pelican 1750 about six months ago with the intention of using it for my FNAR. It sat in the closet until today. I used an electric carving knife and a Boker folder with a ceramic blade. I think the Boker actually cut better than the carving knife.
I've got a couple of the Berry plastic ammo cases ordered that I'm going to cut inserts for in the bottom right of the case. Thanks for looking...

God bless you sir!!

I've gotten good service from Frontier Firearms in Kingston (20 min drive), Ensley's Shooting Supply in Louisville, Craig's Firearms (you have to military or LEO) and Austin's Tn Firearms in Oak Ridge. I've been in Bill's Outpost a couple of times and would not hesitate to do business with him, although I haven't had the chance to yet.
I will not step into Coal Creek Armory again and was not particularly impressed with Gunny's when I went in there either.

After reading through all 10 pages of this thread, I'm more thankful for ORSA than ever. Probably the best $120 I spend all year.
-
I've got the heavy barrel FNAR and I love it. I'll have it out at ORSA sometime next week if you'd like to shoot it before you decide.
-
Smith, you're a wealth of information on the STG. I was going to pony up the cash for the Ratworx side rail, but I did a search for the UTG one and found it for under $7. Thanks.
-
Smith, were you able to use low scope rings with the STG? I've been thinking about one of the Leupold Mark AR scopes for mine and have wondered if the low would work.

I need to find something wrong with mine if there's a 42 round mag in it. Unfortunately it seems to be a well made, good shooting gun.

Never shot the Kel Tec but I've got the 995ts and love it. It's eaten everything I've fed it and never had a problem. I can't wait for them to come out with their .45 acp carbine.
-
Definitely no 50s at ORSA, but if you find somewhere to shoot it I'll be happy to meet you there...

I have a Trijicon Acog TA33 on my MSAR 5.56 and it works pretty well...durable as heck, but it cost almost as much as the gun.
Hey Magic, Have you got a picture of your setup? I'm loving my MSAR, but I can't decide what kind of glass to put on it.

That is one sexy rifle!!
-
It's got a tacticool look to it, it's cheap, it takes Black Dog .22 magazines, and the barrel is already threaded.
All that said, I'm considering one and wonder if anyone here has experience with it???

Not sure if you've seen this, but it's a pretty cool tool for analyzing why your shots go where they do.

Yeah, Olbermann definitely lives in my top five list of people I'd really like to punch in the mouth.

Thanks guys. The more I look at it the more I really like that MOE furniture on the AR.
Lumberjack I'll keep you in mind if I ever decide to give the CBOB away, but I probably wouldn't hold my breath if I were you:)

$15 is a great price. I got mine from Cal's Sporting. They were $22 for 30 or 42 rounders.

Well, everyone knows that AR's are like barbie dolls for men. I decided to buy mine a new outfit (all Magpul MOE) and she finally got to try it on today. After I took her picture some of the others in the safe were getting jealous, so I HAD to take their pictures too.
Then the Wesson brothers got into the act. The CCO is my EDC. The CBOB is wearing amboyna burl grips by Sarge.
Of course if Dan is involved the other Wesson wants to play. Model 29-3.
Then the slightly modified 10/22.
Finally, not gun porn, but I had a chance to go to Solingen, Germany in December and went to the Boker factory. I ended up with this convertible folder with a damascus blade, a ceramic blade and a stainless blade.

Nice collection. The 625 is on my "want list" along with a model 610.

Great job Spoolie. Love the look of the OD frame and black grips.

Just got one from Bud's last week for $982 shipped. Haven't had the chance to shoot it yet (I'll correct that this weekend) but I'll post a mini-range report when I do.

Just got that Midway bag in the mail yesterday and I love it (especially at the sale price). Plenty big enough, plus includes two gun rugs and a smaller "go bag". Also, the brass bag makes me look like less of a dumpster diver when I'm scrounging reloading brass at the range.

Basevol, simply put- I've never felt like Coal Creek wanted my business. Their employees are generally condescending and disinterested in anything except talking amongst themselves and to their select group of mall-ninja comrades. I truly wish it wasn't the case- I live about 10 minutes from Coal Creek and would love to have a good working relationship with them.
Jeremy, Ray Ensley does have a storefront but he's hard to find if you don't know where to look. He primarily works the gun show circuit and through the internet, but he's been willing to order anything I've ever asked of him. You won't find much (if anything) in stock at his place. He also does $20 transfers, so he's a good place to use if you buy from Bud's or Whittaker's in KY.
