I use a YHM M2 Phantom that I got from Mike Dresner at Law Enforcement Sales. Not sure about layaway but you won't deal with a better guy.

Recharging the know-it-alls?

I built a QC10 also, it's a blast to shoot and I didn't have the BHO problem that KKing had. Hoping my Form 1 comes back soon so I can build a shorty upper for it.

It's good to see you finally get yourself something nice... :hiding:

I'm getting ready to file to sbr my CMT lower as well. So I'd choose TGO 15 and will be able to edit to 5.56 later in the process if .300 is the only option in the beginning like it was for ^^^ Bud?
I SBR'd mine as well and just selected 300 on it. Mine is built as a 300 pistol right now but once the lower is SBR'd it shouldn't matter what caliber the upper is. Am I incorrect on that?

I think that's perfectly acceptable for threads involving stamp collecting!
Speaking of, I just filed another Form 1 a couple of days ago. :)
I may have to start shooting AKs just so I have something else to SBR.
-
So then a tax stamp is required?
How is it that there is no buffer tube?
KKing, can you post a few pics with the stock extended? thanks!
That's a stock picture from the ETS website. This is the folding stock adapter:

Yes Erik, 9mm AR.
I just went to the ETS website and saw that their address is listed as Knoxville. Wonder if I can go by and pick up an order instead of waiting for shipping.

Glad it's working out for you now. I've not had any problems with BHO on mine, although I have less than 50 rounds through it. Mostly just zeroed in the sight and did a couple of function checks. I just ordered the parts for a second upper with a 5.5" barrel. Hopefully my Form 1 will be back soon...
On an slightly unrelated note I see PSA is making a billet lower that takes Glock mags for less money. I'll be curious to see some reviews on these.

Nice looking blade Steve!

Minor thread necromancy here. You can only use a Form 1 for a suppressor if you're building your own, right? Any commercially bought suppressor still has to go through a FFL right?
-
Well hell, I guess I'll take my usual #16 in damascus.

Hey Mav, long time no see. That's a nice one!

Nice one Steve. It gives the Godfather a run as my favorite to date and will definitely be carried more.

Right now I'm TDY in a hotel room having a cocktail and thinking about the friends I've lost in 22+ years of military service. Sadly I've lost more to suicide than enemy fire. Think about the people in your life, look out for them, love them and always be there for them. You could be the difference between them being here tomorrow or not.

I've read to keep the original upper that you included on the form 1 so that the gun can be returned to its original configuration according to the form 1 so that you are not then obligated to file an amendment to the form 1 noting a permanent caliber change
Where on the Form 1 did you list an upper?
-
Yes, my understanding is that with a registered SBR lower you can have as many uppers as you'd like.

Thanks for the review. I like the idea of a dedicated press. I've been using a Rock Chucker single stage for years but wouldn't mind using that solely for rifle rounds and picking up a couple of these also.

I assume the hazmat fee would still be waived if you bought powder in addition to the required amount of primers. Anyone test that theory?

So, pretend I'm a dumbass. How do I embed a youtube link?

Hell, I'll give you $200 sight unseen for it.

I've been trying to find one of these in 6.5 since they first came out. Congrats on yours. Hope to find mine soon.
