  1. Thanks for the heads up about T&T, I'll be sure to look for them. I think I'll head over early Saturday morning. Do you all know what time can I get in? But unless I just see a really good deal, I'll probably just save my money this weekend and spend it on a HCP class instead.
  2. Here is that $1 off coupon: Rk $1 Coupon Chilhowee Park 3301 Magnolia Ave Knoxville, TN 37914 Map of 3301 E Magnolia Ave Knoxville, Tennessee by MapQuest
  3. Anyone else planning on going to the gun show this weekend? I was kinda surprised that there is one so soon after the last one but I saw a bill-board up on Kingston Pike in bearden. I don't think I'll be able to buy much myself, but a buddy of mine is looking at getting a cheap 9mm. I tried to talk him into saving up for something more reliable than a highpoint but he is set on cheap. Also if someone could pm me the secret TGO handshake, I'd appreciate it.
  4. This is the same dillema I have, a longer list of guns I want than of money I have. I vote to get a smaller more concealable 9mm. Adding a .40 means another, more expensive type of ammo to deal with. Or if not another 9mm, I've only heard good things about the judge as a snake gun, which sounded like it might be what you want.
  5. I have a family member who owns a pizza resturant and he told me that including labor and everything it costs him about $2 bucks to make a large pizza that he then turns around and sells for $20. If there wasn't a substantial markup on merchandise, then there wouldn't be any companies willing to go through the hassel to make, market and sell them.
  6. Inspired by crimsonaudio, this is what I have done.... Front view of my desk. Underside of my desk with Glock Survival Knife ($30). I didn't want to ruin or modify the sheath, even though it sucks, so I screwed a piece of leather belt to the underside and then used a screw in hook to hold up the pointy end with the leg tie down hole. Glock 22 (.40) on the back of bookcase. I bought some cheap fobus holsters off ebay and cut the paddle that goes inside your pants off with a hacksaw to make a slimmer profile. I then screwed the holsters to a piece of 5/8 decking board and screwed the deck board to the bookcase shelves from the backside. I may add a flashlight to this later even though I have one beside my bed.
  7. Hey, Chad here. Just wanted to drop in and say hello. I live out in Fairview on the west side of Nashville, but I am currently a student in Knoxville. Stumbled here one day by accident. I started shooting 20ga and 22lr when I was about 12 and have loved it ever since. I mostly shoot trap/skeet and paper targets. I also enjoy paintball when I get the chance.

    40 vs the 9mm?

All the issues seemed to have been covered, I just wanted to offer my personal experience. I bought a glock 22 because I am considering a career in law enforcement and wanted to practice with what I may be required to use one day. The g23 was too small and didn't feel good in my large hands. The recoil of the 22 is pretty snappy but nothing too bad. Although to be honest the only other handgun I have shot was a .22 I am very happy with my glock 22. I may end up getting the 9mm conversion kit for cheaper practice and plinking.
