Can't go wrong with either one, so it's what you like best. I own a 637, and have played with the LCR. I like external hammers, which is one of the reasons I bought the 637.

How do they go about disarming us if they get their way? "I would gladly give you my guns officer, but I misplaced them. I'll call if they turn up."

I have a 637 and it kicks like a mule. I bought it because my favorite small revolver of all time was a Model 36 that I sold 20+ years ago (and have regretted it ever since). I shot it last summer with sweaty hands, and the Uncle Mike's grips were slick enough to make it difficult to control. Swapped the grips to the 36 style wood ones, but haven't had a chance to shoot it since. They feel a lot better.
The S&W site says they're making the 36 again. Quite a bit more expensive than the 637.

The LCP and, for that matter, the 637 aren't fun to shoot. No sane person could argue against any Glock if you can carry it comfortably. My fun guns are S&W service pistols (59 style), but they keep falling out of my back pocket :-)

I had feed problems with my LCP when I first got it. Same thing, it would jam when hand cycling the action. Tooling marks on the feed ramp and inside the chamber were obvious. I just polished the feed ramp and chamber using the procedure for the P3AT (the LCP is a knock-off). Fixed the problem.
The problem wasn't characteristic of the LCP. I just got a rough one, and was too impatient to wait for Ruger service at a time when they're making pitols faster than Congress is printing money. QC can be an issue with the best manufacturers these days
Ruger won't void their warranty over a polish job, so it was safe to do. Don't know anything about Sig's policies. Just sayin' it could be an easy fix by a good pistol smith.
A semiauto is worthless if it isn't reliable

I have a Ruger LCP and a J frame Smith (637). Both are reliable and deadly, but the revolver has a lump. The LCP is smaller and much flatter and can be carried in your front or back pocket.

There's some good stuff here while you're waiting for a reloading manual...

The Browning is an SA-22. I bought one new this year, but they've been in production forever. Still listed on their web site. Designed by John Browning himself.

This is a great site. I'm new, but signing up for benefactor status now. I appreciate David's good work
