We have recently had a discussion about a place I've always wanted to go. One of my favorite bands will be there in April. We never get to go anywhere alone due to the kids and she was afraid I'd be too cold in April so I told her we'd try next time. The next day she was exited. Fingers crossed.

I hope that's the gift because that place is on our bucket list too. We actually had tickets to a concert there in 2020 but it was cancelled due to COVID.

Are you saying Calhoun's isn't a nice restaurant???

    Nicer than McDonalds!😅

Do they have Calhoun's in middle TN? I try to avoid going there at all costs. The owner does not have a great reputation and the food hasn't improved since the 90's.

  3. I'm glad I'm not alone. I told my wife that next year we've got to limit gifts to a few people. It's gotten out of hand. If it's creating anxiety then we've lost the point of Christmas.

  4. Am I the only one that gets more anxiety than joy this time of year? Every year we spend ridiculous amounts of money buying presents for other people. This year we're even buying presents for my wife's family that hasn't come to see us since 2015. My wife drives to see them in Ohio 1-2 times/year. Christmas is supposed to be about spending time with people and instead has turned into a spending binge. Something tells me Jesus would not have cared for rampant consumerism.

Someone help me be less of a Grinch.

Look at all the players opting out of bowl games now.  That was unheard of 10 years ago and speaks to the (lack of) loyalty and commitment to the school.

That doesn't bother me though. Bowl games don't mean much and it's not worth the risk of injury right as you're trying to go pro.

The transfer portal and NIL will change it forever. The days of commitment and loyalty are quickly ending. The players are inevitably moving to mercenary status, just like the pros.

It's a business at this point. It's no different than us changing jobs for better pay. It's sad, but there is little reason to be loyal to a school now. It's actually been a business for a long time but the difference is that players are finally getting their piece of the pie.

    Not my cup of tea.

We are not her target demographic.

It's estimated that her last tour brought in over $1B in revenue. I can understand why she's on the news a lot.

Yikes... it was more restrictive than I expected.  I've changed it and it should allow for a significantly easier experience.

Profile photos can be up to 600x600 pixels and up to 300kb.   Cover photos for a profile can also be up to 300kb.

Yes that did the trick! It worked on my first try this time.
