Yes I reload. Just trying to keep everything as simple as possible. Have 45 acp semi automatic and thought it would be cheaper to just buy and use the plastic moon clips.
-
Has anyone tried the plastic moon clips in the old rimless 45's. I just bought a s&w 1917 Brazilian contract and have shot it with the steel moon clips which are a pain to unload spent brass from.

How do I get the bolt out of the rear sight. I have tried and can't do it, is there a trick to it? Thanks.

I haven't mounted my weaver base on mine yet. Will do it this fall when not so busy.

Lt. Gov. Ramsey came into the sale barn at Trenton Wed. afternoon with a film crew, and he took over the mic. and sold a few cows, and shook hands with people. Seems like a real down to earth kind of guy.Got my vote.

Thanks for the information. The barrel length will be 10 to 12 inches long, not in diameter. This will be my small prototype before making anything bigger , to work any problems out. I can see making one approximately 36 inches long, but would use a steel for the barrel because of the price of brass.Maybe even make the wood spoke wheels also.

Went to an auction yesterday and bought a small rotrary table to use on my Bridgeport mill.Have always wanted to make minature brass cannon, that will shoot black powder.Needed the rotrary table to mill the wheel spokes. Does the ATF require any info from me before I can manufacture a cannon. Probably will be in the 10 to 12 inch size.As this is a black powder cannon [gun] are there any requirements for license or permits? Thanks

Just read an interesting article on the 17HMR and the 17HMII on Gunsamerica online magazine.Author pointed out some good things and some bad things about both. Very informative article.

I remember the ole run dodge and jump drill and the 100 yd dash carrying some one using the firemans carry.Them was the good old days. Be lucky to run a 100 yds now.

Do the universal charge bars work better than the bushings in the Mec reloaders? Are they cheaper and easier to set than changing bushings? Enquiring minds want to know. Thanks for any insight into these questions.

Have BAR 7 mm mag about 30+ years shoot deer and a few coyotes with it.What I like about the 7 mm mag you can hit a coyote about anywhere and it will do them in. Good accuracy and never any trouble with it.

You also have to remember the "shortages" of the past year or so.Stockpile brass, bullets. primers and powder while price is down and you are all set for a long time. You can weather the next "shortages" and still afford to shoot.Lee makes a very economical hand loader for most common rifle and handgun calibers for people that only need to reload a few hunting rounds for the deer rifle etc.

I like the 2nd edition of Richard Lees for metallic reloading and the Lymans shotshell reloading for shotshell.

Anyone have favorite receipes for their Mini-14? Using 55gr, 63 gr and the 69 gr hpbt. Would like to hear your experiences.

Would like to mount a scope on this rifle, pump rolling block design I believe that is what it is called, so I can carry in the tractor cab to shoot varmints. All the mounts I have seen on gunbrokers that are suppose to fit this model have one hex head screw with a nut underneath. What do you mount this thing to. No drilled and tapped holes on the receiver or barrel. The only thing on the barrel is the windage and elevation v sight and it fits in a dove tail groove. Any one know how to mount scope on it.Thanks

Never owned or shot a 28 ga, getting older and need something with less weight and kick for all around shooting, doves, quail, pigeons, busting clays etc. Have sxs in 410,20, 16, and 12 ga. Will reload own shells for it. Should I buy a cheap stoeger to try out before I spend big bucks on a good one ? Can anyone tell me about the stoeger uplander sxs? Thanks

Anyone load and shoot brass shotshells in their old damacus double guns? Had an old friend over Saturday and He loads and shoots black powder in his old doubles.Sounds like a fun thing to do.Even cuts his own wads. Was wondering if anyone had used TRAIL BOSS to load cowboy loads with.
