  1. I had pretty much the same gun but with a 6" barrel and sold it (stupid, stupid, stupid) for $625 a couple years ago. I can only imagine it's worth more now. And that was without a box.

Phenomenal gun. My only consolation is that I still have a 4" nickel 19-5, but no TH, TT, and not P&R. :/

Buy it, whatever it takes. Enjoy it for the rest of your life. :-)
  2. I affirm nightrunner's account. One of my good church buddies is a driver for Nissan and does the function testing. Every vehicle gets driven a fair bit before it gets loaded on a truck. I cannot believe the "no fluid" or even "barely enough fluid" theory.
  3. New vehicles are not shipped full of fluids. The dealer has to fill them up. It is a way of passing on costs.

That's news to me. How do they do the test drive and inspection with no engine oil, transmission, or steering fluids? Let alone drive the vehicle onto a carrier, then off again at the destination?

Legit curious where this info is coming from.

I'd understand not being full of wiper or blinker fluid, ya know... the non-essentials. (Though I imagine they still lube the muffler bearings so the test drives are quiet.)

  4. For a short period of time I worked in consumer affairs at Nissan. In cases like this, we would often offer an extended warranty to "restore faith" in the vehicle and brand. Also, depending on the case, a service program (oil changes for a year or two, etc) might be offered.

I agree, you may not be "entitled" to goodwill. However, a major part falling off your BRAND NEW vehicle should warrant some gesture on behalf of the manufacturer, imho. It will also show up in their financials eventually. High goodwill costs will put pressure on them to find problem areas and work to "stop the bleeding."

  5. That's exactly what I thought about as well, pump once - shoot twice seems like a recipe for a royal screw up, imho. Nifty concept though, for sure.
  6. Praying with you.

One of the best young men I know graduated high school 2 years ago and joined the service. He is a great American and a proud soldier, a tanker. He is currently in South Korea. I pray for him often, especially whenever that area is mentioned on the news, etc. I will add your sons in there from now on.
  7. If you're going to toss them, toss them in my direction.

That's not nearly as much fun as shooting them, but yes, throwing guitars can be satisfying, too. Flung a V one time... that was cool. It really WAS a flying V for about 4 seconds. Then it wasn't.
  8. You will get more smoke, and possibly leading in the bore depending on your load. Both aren't deal breakers, but things to consider. I pretty much only shoot lead outside. I use plated 75-80% of the time. Not as cheap as lead, not as expensive as FMJ, but pretty much all the benefits of fmj.
  9. Yup. Shoot em.

What's left of said toaster after I fed it 13rds of 00buck in about 10 seconds.

Being the main shooter and fun documenter, I rarely get pics of me shootin stuff... this is the best I've gotten so far.

Anyways, all of that is to say... shooting stuff is SO much fun! I have neighbors and friends from church give me their old computers, phones, printers, etc. Way better than paper targets!

  10. The only thing I haven't tried is off of a bench. The gun sits in a safe in the off-season and I am the only one that has used it. Time to upgrade I guess..

Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' bout! Gitchoo a new one! Sometimes that's the best answer. ;-)
