My wife brought me some home this evening. I am excited to try them.

Both of my dogs are trained by vocal and hand signal. I won't use any other method. Bandit, the older one knows more than 30 commands by vocal and hand signal, all commands are trained by both, and now followed by either. Just make sure you pick simple ones they don't have to be universal from one trainer to the other. The 'okay' sign is sit. 'Stop' is stay. I pat my chin, she barks, I pat my cheek, she kisses me, I pat my hips, she jumps up and hugs me. I have a Youtube video of her following my commands, she is truly a brilliant dog.

I have a Crossman Vantage and the trigger is bad. Understand that I'm not a high end 1.5lb trigger snob... most of my milsurps have stock triggers and I'm fine with that. On the other hand, this Crossman poor. Like Red Ryder poor.
Any suggestions?
Price for price anything Daisy Avanti line is good. My daughter uses and has brought home a few trophies with Daisy Avanti BB gun. We are after accuracy though. Airforce makes some nice stuff too, and it is really popular in competition.

Well, they arent firearms, so there are little to no restrictions on them
But I dont think there would be much benefit... There are no explosions happening to propel the projectile..
Yes and no, many of them can break the sound barrier, which means that a suppressor can quiet the supersonic crack.

My daughter shoots them competitively, so I am might be biased. At current she owns a Daisy Match Grade BB gun but we have been looking at buying her an Airforce or Crosman, both of which cost more than her Savage(s), she does shoot LH which adds to the cost. She has used Club Guns for a few years, but in the last year we (I) have invested in a Target .22LR, Sport .22LR and BB. We are lacking only in Air Sport and Target. While the only difference is in sights, it would realistically require two new guns. As such the Air Force guns are winning, in competition too.

I dig it. A lot of references. Some more obscure.

I have never been able to deal with an AFG or VFG on my AR. I put a Magpul VFG on my AKM and I liked it from the start. On my current favorite AR I tend to use a wrap around grip with a hand stop.

Neat idea and I’m sure some will bite but I’ll stick with good old USGI ammo cans. A .30 can will hold 1000 rounds of 9mm if you’re the type of heathen that dumps ammo out of their boxes, about 600 of 5.56.
I keep it in the boxes and can fit 1000 rounds in each box. 9mm and 5.56.

I am sorry to hear this. It is hard to think about for a solo cat like me. I pray, if I did, for you.

Saw this novel ammo idea on TFB. Sell ammo in "Pop" cans, suck all the air out, replace with nitrogen and seal it up for long shelf life. Was announced at SHOT show.

Try being a fat guy in tight clothes.....
I was a fat guy once, I wore loose clothes. It was a lot easier to conceal. Now I feel like a chick in the mirror checking to make sure I am not printing.

For me, a carry gun needs to be point and shoot. I am less concerned about the caliber than I am about ease of carry and point and shoot. Right now my EDC is a Micro Eagle. If I thought I could pull of a Glock 26, I would. Because Glock. The big thing with a pocket gun is less about the caliber, or even weight, but how will you draw and present? That is something that weighs heavily on me. I carry my Micro Eagle in a pocket holster, but realistically, it is draw, remove holster, present. IMO that is too much. I am also a slim guy that wears form fitting clothes. This is honestly the type of stuff that keeps me up at night.

When I am serious about a purchase, when the gun itself it laid in front of me (whether from stock in the back or the display case) I field strip it then and there. This is as/after my CCDW/License has been handed over for dealer paperwork with the 4473. To be honest shame on the buyer/seller if they didn't or objected. I have walked from a sale while the BGC was going down due to poor service. I have walked from a deal to go pay more where my questions were answered better.
Kudos for the gun shop on good service, but they had no need too, it was on your friend for know knowing what he was buying.

Yeah I am guessing she usually is not talking when they do what he married her for....
I just imagine she throws 4yo tantrums when she does not get what she wants. That voice and attitude give it away.
Of course he is filming and driving so not sure he is much smarter.
I love my wife, I am glad I married someone that I can consider a partner. Most of the time.

Probably legal. It seems rather cumbersome to use, for one shot. I suppose I can see it for a deep cover final option or something.

Having paid for and being the only claimant of a deceased, there are often reasons for that. I do not know the stories. I am glad that someone got peace through this. But there are always two sides.

I grabbed a used Magnum Research Micro Eagle a long time ago... It has never failed to go bang. It will beat the hell out of you, but it goes bang. It falls into a pocket. It is like my wallet, knife, light and my phone, always with me.

I am pretty decided to just buy an M&P 15-22, surely the cost can't be that different? I have seen some really good deals on them lately.

My Federal Refund usually balances out my State Liability. I am not in a friendly tax bracket and I try my best to keep both of them as close to zero as possible.

I had a rotary wall phone installed in the basement of our previous house. It was an old ATT phone with a cast aluminum receiver. I brought it with me when we moved to TN in 2015. For probably the last 10 years it was installed you could only receive, not dial out. Since I installed it for emergencies, if we had to take cover in the basement, I had to install a more modern phone beside it for dialing out. I did bother reinstalling it here but couldn't bring myself to leave it behind.
It is interesting that in the span of about 35 years we went from a party line, to a private line, to having to pay extra if we wanted to use touch tone, to free touch tone, to pulse dial not working. Then the whole phone thing went really crazy.
I refused to pay for touch tone so I had a bunch of push button phones that put out fake pulse dialing.
Dude, I had forgot about that whole fake pulse tone dialing thing. My wife is a few years younger than me and I was trying to explain pulse dialing to her. She wasn't getting it.

The point is, any of us could be handed an item that was obsolete twenty five years before we were born and be completely confused by what it was. The fact that it was an essential daily item means nothing when it was replaced by a far superior item that evolved a dozen times.

I'm not sure why this should be a sign of the imminent demise of western civilization. There's absolutely no need for teens or anyone else to know how to use a rotary phone, these were analog devices which are no longer functional, as the phone companies moved to digital transmissions years ago. Rotary phones are a technology that has no discernible use in the modern world, it's akin to expecting somebody to know how to make a mud and wattle hut ...
That is kinda what I was thinking. It is obsolete tech. Like a party line, or calling an operator to connect you. How many of you here know how to set points or adjust your timing? Do you know how to operate the pedals on a Model T? Most likely not. It is obsolete tech. Do you know how to chop down a tree cut it to lumber and build your own home? Of course not, time has moved on from that point and life has become much easier. It is not the foretelling of doom that many of you think it is.
