Mines on there as well. I have never looked into any 700 parts which trigger would be good around the $100 mark.

I dont remember what carrier i have but i don't remember paying all that much. as for the plates i have the ar500 with the added antispall coating as well. the extra weight of the plates has not bothered me too much. seem to get used to it after wearing them for a while. And on the plus side they are a heck of alot more rugged and forgiving then ceramic in how they are handled.

That is a piece of artwork right there. Congrats on the fine hardware.

Well this season was my worst season hunting. I didnt see a single deer that i could shoot. the two i did see were standing 10 yds from my neighbors house. I ordered a new rifle right after Thanksgiving and when it came in it had the wrong caliber barrel on it. so it went back. still waiting on the correct rifle to come in, on the good side my LGS that is handeling it i am compleatly satisfied with. But i did get to spend the most time i have ever spent in the woods so i count it as a season well spent, and i did get to teach one of my co-workes how to gut and skin his first deer. I have enjoyed everyones posts and look forward to next year. Good luck for the spring turkey hunts as well as those that get to take a youngster for the youth hunt.

I really dont have a need for the 36" either but every now and than it really come in handy. 20" on a 3120 i bet that chews though wood like a hot knife thru butter.

my big saw is my husky 385 xp with a 36" bar, but most of the time it wears a 24". love cutting mostly for time in spent in the woods.

why does my chainsaw find the only pice of metal in a tree. along those same lines why can i free hand sharpen my saw chain with no problem, but it takes forever to sharpen a knife.

I'm not familiar with the beowulf round but on my S&W 500 rifle i am using a nikon slug hunter scope zeroed for 100yds. It seems to be holding up fairly well. I only have around 40ish rounds that i have put down range since i put the scope on.

i carry speer golddots in 230gr. in my 1911. I put 200 failure free rounds through it just to make sure it cycled properly.

i started my hunt very optimistic on my little 6acres at the house. I had pics on my trail cam of the deer moving through every day between 0600 and 0800. the wind was in my face all morning and nice and crisp. then around 0700 one of my neighbors decided that opening day was the day to zero his rifle 15 shots later i gave up and went in to make coffee. oh well maybe tonight will be better.

I am by no means a great smith but have had all the pices out of my 1911 many times fitting new parts in and may be able to help you put it back together.

This looks like a fun way to do it. not sure about how it would work under a barn. http://www.rodentblaster.com/
