  1. Not to hijack, but can someone please clarify why he must engrave it himself when the form 1 clearly states name of original manufacturer in block 4a and then in the instructions 2i it states again that the original manufacturers information goes in 4a.

If an existing firearm is being
modified into an NFA firearm, enter the existing serial number of the
firearm into item 4g and the name and address of the original
    manufacturer into item 4a.
Do not Alter or Modify the Existing
    Serial Number
. If the NFA firearm is being made from parts, your
name and address are to be entered into 4a and a serial number you

create is to be entered into item 4g

It would seem that since he is modifying an existing firearm there would be no additional engraving requirement.

  2. I think its an indicator of which zeds were killed by the disease.  If one recalls the walker they focused on a couple of times at the wall, it had similar eyes.  It also looked way to fresh when compared with the others.   Maybe this season we get faster more aggressive zeds

  3. Old man's post prompted me to read the TCA again as it has been a while

If you will note the third item in red, premises, which includes the land and any building on your property

  4. I got bored and started looking up what kills pigs and humans. Its called the nipah virus. It kills pigs by affecting their respiratory system and humans by encephalitis/swelling of the brain. First symptoms are flu like and it some cases can cause bleeding. The only flaw to my theory is that they believe it to be transmitted to pigs by the flying fox (big a$$ fruit bat looking thing).
Im just kind of curious how the boar/pig were infected unless its a water supply thing.
Im pretty sure I am over thinking it and its just an to the thrax. (Spaced so that the black helicopters wont come and get me).

My vote would be for something a little more mainstream.  If i had to guess i would say Hemorrhagic fever.

  5. This is why it's a good idea to have enough savings for at least a few months. 6 months is a good goal but I know it's not easy for everyone. I'm still working on it.

I normally subscribe to the same philosophy, When i seperated from the active component we had about a 5 month cushion. That we used until i could start school at the end of August.  Once school started we were good to go financially and was just finally starting to put money back in savings.

  6. I was just wondering for those that feel like sharing, here is how i have been/will be affected.

I got a call today that I already saw coming.  My weekend drill for this month has officially been cancelled due to the shutdown.  Normally not a giant deal, although the money is budgeted for my healthcare it is only a couple hundred dollars and under normal circumstances could skip a few creature comforts and be fine.  However added to this is that i am a full time college student going to school on the post 911 GI Bill.  It pays out a monthly BAH stipend that may or may not end come late October.  That stipend is budgeted to the mortgage and the electric bill.

It's looking like come the end of the month I may not have the funds to pay the bills, and will likely have to resort to selling off one of the collection.  The PS90 will probably be the first to go.

  7. Unfortunately the 200 dollar tax goes straight into the general fund and then the budget for the NFA branch is allocated to them.  In reality the NFA branch should be ran on funds from the tax, response times would be much faster.  Instead there are only around 10 examiners doing every ones paperwork.

Interesting fyi for folks who didn't already know, when DOJ suggested fingerprinting for trusts the document also included cost analysis for the NFA branch and how long it takes examiners to finish a stamp once they start working on it.  I believe it was around 15 minutes of work per application for the examiners.

There was also an article recently that said the NFA branch brings in approximately a million dollars a month in revenue and has been doing so since 2011.   There really needs to be a law tying the number of employees at the NFA branch to the revenue it generates.

  8. Cheaper option for you is to swap the stock trigger springs for reduced power springs.  JP makes a good set.  Polish the contact areas of the trigger and get one of Dolomite's trigger kit set screws.   It will not be a true target trigger, but it should get you fairly close and only be around 30 dollars out of pocket.
