If your on a budget it doesn't get much better than a Cz . Through the budget out the window and Anschutz is the ticket!

Found my answer on RFC . Mr. Fedderson said they are the same barrels but new name. His son's wanted to name them.
-
I'm confused.......is this a new barrel they are making? Or just a new name for the barrels that they are already selling?
-
If you leave those on for 30 days you may end up with a SBR.

I love it!!!!! LMFAO

I sure do like seeing all the Purdy 10/22's you post ....Thanks graycrait!

+1 On the Savage's..... Dolomite helped me with both of these builds. Top build is a 7.62x39 and the bottom started as a plastic stock .243 and now is .223 rem. He even walked me through headspacing over the phone and he made me confident enough that when I hung up the phone and test fired that I would safe. I know they are not "tacticool" but they are my flavor.

+1 On the blonde one also. I always look forward to the unique 10/22 combo's that Graycrait comes up with. I have a feeling these rifles will shoot also.

Some people say "He who dies with the most toys wins!" The way I see it is " He who plays with the most toys wins!"
With that said I am trying my best to play with them ALL! :woohoo:

I have a couple I said I wouldn't part with too...but now I'm thinking.
I am the same way, I don't buy a gun just to sell it. But a lot of times once I finish a gun project and shoot it some I am ready to move on to the next project. And I just cannot afford to keep all my projects. It is the same way with my vehicle's I build them up to what I want then sell them just to build another. "I think its a addiction" LOL
-
Sure. You say that now.
You are almost as bad as myself and Steelharp for acquiring and moving your goodies.
LOL.......I also know Graycrait. But this 10/22 really is something special. I bet he keeps this one for a few years at least.

I think ebony stain and about 6 coats of Tru oil would do that stock wonders.
-
I love that stock and barrel combo also!

Just thought I would share my latest project. I have been slowly working on a 7.62x39 barreled Savage action that I acquired from a fellow TGO'er.The past week I was working on bedding the action into a new stock and and waiting on parts to arrive. Final parts arrived saturday and had to chance to sight her in today. Ran 40 rounds of wolf 122g fmj at 50 yards (75 yards is about all I have room for at home) All holes touching on 5 of my three shot groups. I am very pleased with this setup and it is cheap to shoot to boot.

Very nice German schuetzen rifle ! Just google Schuetzen Rifle and you will find many like this. Most were custom built for the individual shooter.

I have 3 savages 2 short action 1 long action.A remington 700 long action. And a ruger mark II in short action. I have had all actions apart. Here is how I rank.
1.Ruger
2.Savage
3.Remington
You cannot beat the savage action for the price point. Period!

Going on a 22lr or magnum. Traded a gun off and I am short a scope. I was looking to see if anyone has owned either of these weavers.
-
Looking for a good Sub $200 scope. From my research this looks like pretty good band bang for the buck. http://swfa.com/Weaver-4-12x44-4044-Rifle-Scope-P40586.aspx
They also have a new kaspa line? http://www.amazon.com/Weaver-Kaspa-4-16X44SF-Ballistic-X-Scope/dp/B007T4611W/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1368208045&sr=8-5&keywords=weaver+kaspa
Any comments or other suggestions are welcome.

Hang on to the 75b. You will wish you never sold it.

Great guns. I have the 452 American and love it . Shoots way tighter groups than my Ruger 77/22.

I fish south cross a few times a year. Always have good luck there. But mostly fish around White Oak on Ky Lake.

I'm good to go for one.

Or do a drivetrain swap out of a wrecked 99-04 lightning or supercharged Harley truck.they also have the hd tranny. I myself have a modded 2000 Lightning makes plenty of power for hills. Last dyno was around 370 at the rear wheels. Only running 10 lbs of boost.
You know, that would probably be about the same cost, maybe a wee bit more (not sure on the specific conversion requirements) but it would definitely be one hell of a lot more reliable than his current set up with a blower on top.
Your probably right on the cost. And I also look at it as DIY also. So back to the fact he could find a diesel excursion for the same $$ he will spend modding plus the value of the expedition. That's the way I would go but watch out for those 6.0 motors.. -
Then it's shares the same tranny as the diesel f250's 4r100. Then it should have no problem with a extra 100 ho. Too bad it's not a 5.4 though.
