  1. Ain't it the truth, Bajabuc. I am hoping to sell a 835 12 ga bbl and MOE Magpul stuff, and I expect them to offer me less than half the value.
  2. Anyone see any new AR15 uppers?
  3. Any vendors have any AR15 uppers?
  4. I hope to go Sunday morning. May take my pre64 Win 94 to see if I can trade for a 6.8SPC upper.
  5. This show was good for a few chuckles. Lots of blades at this show, but I didn't leave with anything but a Schrade pocket knife. I didn't bother taking my pre 64 inside as there were no Winchester collectors or obvious affectionados present.
  6. I plan on bein there about 10 on Sunday. Be wearin orange "T" cap, carryin a Rem 700 ML, Gerber fighting knife, and maybe my custom engraved pre-64 Mod 94. See y'all there.
  7. OK, great! I probably will sell for around $325, maybe include the bayonet too. Thanks
  8. While in WY I purchased a M96 swedish mauser 6.5X55 cal. It shoots great and is in remarkable shape to be made in 1900. I read that only 40,000 of these were made for a Swedish contract until Carl Gustav could get tooled up for production. All numbers match except for floorplate and rear sight. Any idea what it is worth, should I decide to sell it? Thanks
  9. Thanks. I already have FF BP. Have been doin inlines for a few years and just want to get back to traditional. Wish I had not sold my old rifles.
  10. I am looking for a percussion in .50 or .54. Prefer Lyman or Investarms Great plains or T/C Hawken, Renegade, Seneca, etc. Set trigger would definitely be a plus. Thanks
  11. Anyone here have a side lock ML they are looking to sell?
  12. I have used Brownell's Alumahide II with good results. It comes in a variety of colors and is perfect for alloy frame guns, such as the Beretta. Follow the directions carefully. It takes anywhere from 7-10 days to fully cure. I have an AK that I refinished with the dark parkerizing gray and it still looks as good as the day I painted it. The finish is soft for the first few days, but is extremely durable after it cures. Hope this helps.
  13. Farnsworth is one of my favorites. The old man lightens up , if you ask him a technical question. He is actually a wealth of knowledge, but has little tolerance for the "tire kickers" that come in. The clutter looks like most garages and is just the right testosterone booster to accompany the guns. The indoor range that is attached is great. Once you get to know them, you will appreciate Farnsworth. So, drop by. Hope to run into one of you there. BTW, they have good prices on surplus ammo and seem to always have a good stock of 9X18, 7.62X 25, etc.
  14. Yeah. We utilized the 412 during the majority of my time there. I might have seen you at some time, as there were times that we refueled there. Small world!
  15. Univ Tn Med Ctr/Knoxville. I served as a flight paramedic for 20 yrs on Lifestar.
  16. Thanks for the warm welcomes. Proves there's no place like Tennessee! I wish there were more safe places to shoot in the Valley, but limited for me. I usually go to Sevier Indoor range. However, I would like to have a good 200-300 yd outdoor range close by. Often thought about leasing some property for that purpose. Thanks, again.
  17. Feel free to email me some pics, and I can suggest some different ideas. Or, you can call me with questions. I am not a gunsmith, but I frequently deal with surface "issues" while preparing to engrave guns. 865-604-7827 Tony
  18. I'm votin for MikeGideon's pump. 56Fordguy, your BPS actually looks good. I miss the one I had a one time.
  19. Not sure if I know how to add pics here, but I would be glad to email some to interested individuals. Thanks
  20. Tony here. I recently became a member and have enjoyed some of the comments that are shared here. I am a NRA member, hunter, and enjoy shooting sports. I live in Wears Valley (Sevier County) and retired in 2007 from UTMCK after 20 yrs service. I am addicted to gunshows and never met a lever action rifle I didn't like. As a sideline, I do gun engraving. I attended Trinidad Junior College's Engraving Course in 2008 and have completed several rifle and pistol projects. It will be great to hear from some of you that have some of the same interests and I look forward to getting to know everyone here. Tony
