  5. It took me and hour to get it completely resembled after I accidentally knocked out a pin..but at the end of that hour it would not fire....four hours later I finnally got that mag disconnect right and now I can completely disassemble and re-assemble a ruger MK3
  6. shotgun news because I enjoy watching the economics of gun prices ....and it is cheap
  7. my father is not a glock fanboy but he picked up a 27 at a pawnshop for $350 with all sorts off goddies attached and has carried it everyday for 3 years now. he hated it at first because of the short grip but after he added an magazine extension he has had no complaints with it except it being ugly. he has a 1911,a 220 sig and various expensive and cheap guns but he keeps the glock as his ccw.
  8. I say give them all green cards and make them start paying taxes. I have no problem with the immigrant since they help keep down the inflated price of American labor down but I wish they would start paying their share of the taxes to help support the country they work in. hell if we all would start supporting our county instead of taking it else ware we would be in alot better shape
  9. yea I have found them at most gunshows so I figured it was worth a shot. who makes a good SMALL red dot scope?
  10. So I picked up a NC star red-dot yesterday to put on my ruger to find out if the brand is any good and amazingly the thing is already busted! Now to start off this seemed like a nice little optic for a pistol being nice and compact and very bright. it felt very sturdy and wasn't to bad on the eyes either. So I got it installed and tried to sight it in and very quickly I found I could not get the dot to go low enough for the pistol but that is the least of the problems. after about the fifth magazine the dot disappeared .so I broke it down to change the battery and one of the wires where split in half. so Now I have an expensively cheap paper weight and a lesson learned, buy the best and cry once
  11. I just sold my russian yesterday but I will chime in. they are great rifles with VERY cheap ammunition but they have a fair bit of recoil, they are loud and they shoot lots of fire
  12. oops I meant 21 not 18. most places I find will not let anyone under 21 enter their shooting range
  13. Alright I am considering a pistol caliber carbine so I can shoot at one of the memphis indoor ranges, but Before I do are there any ranges which allow people under 18 to shoot by themself?
  14. The title says most of it. I am looking for a Ak build group in TN who would be willing to let me come and learn a bit about the possess
  15. Unions are like any other type of government. By that I mean that when they know what is fair to both parties and only push for what is fair they are great, but when they get greedy and start overstepping what the market can handle they quickly become an major P.I.T.A I have a Funny story about the Air traffic control strike. You see my grandfather was one of the many people who went on strike back then and he said he did it more for fun than anything. well he held out and got fired but amazingly he was rehired.....because he took his vacation to go on strike

  18. Alright Maybe we need to get organized....I say the next show I will rent a table for us to hang out at (With poster board banner)
  19. The real answer is to start driving 80's model Japanese motorcycles. it is funny how my brothers bike gets 20mpg and mine gets 48mpg with a 50cc and 8 year age difference (his is newer). same thing with cars, The older 80's models get as good or better fuel mileage as the new ones with all of the extra efficiency. a perfect example Toyota corolla and the Geo metro, Both of the older late 80's through early 90's models got upwards of 35-40mpg and now the new cars are barely surpassing them despite 20-30 years in advancements...Or it could be that auto makers are not interested in higher fuel mileage ....
  20. no,no and....yes. a individual may not legally turn any firearm into a fully automatic with out registering it as a NFA firearms. A individual can no longer register a Fully-automatic firearm after may of 1986. BUT A SOT may build a fully automatic firearm with the proper paper work
  21. Alright today I was sitting around thinking about how crappy it is that the shelby farms rifle range is no longer in service for what ever reason. Well as I was working and contemplating the ways to get the range reopened the words of a wise old man came to mind; "Nothing gets done if everyone does nothing", and by taking his advice I have decided to create a thread just for the discussion of how we can get the range back open ;no matter how long of a shot it seems. Now to start this off we must consider the official reason it was closed was due to budgetary constraints; no matter the real reason that is whats on paper, so we would first need to see if there is a way to make the range monetarily self sufficient. Now this could be achieved many ways ranging from donations to daily usage fees but first we would need to know what the operational cost was.... Anyway post on my comrades
  22. Hey quick question. where is the proper place to but a group-buy?
  23. Hell detroit electric made one in 1930 something so they are nothing new. neat cars and one running model is owned by my grandfather
  24. My Inland M1 carbine because it is fun at the range and then I get to play with the loads when I get home. reloading bench FTW
