  1. Go to an extra power spring on your mag release and put a detent in your slide stop. That will fix her. Also check for clearance issues with the ejector. Some are a little oversize and they tend to slow the slide down on the back of the cycle. I also make sure I use a variable power recoil spring that it has a little more power at the end of the stroke. You make also want to try to increase your load length a little to max out the mag depth. I have been working on 1911s for 15 years. They are a particular animal. The 9mm is tempermental in it but once I got the bugs out of my eagle it is smokin. I just cant wait to get it back from Bobby at Freedom to be refinished. Cobalt on the lower with atranite on the upper. It should be sweet. It looked like it served 4 tours in WWII when I sent it out. Look forward to seeing you in Dickson
  2. The FAST is one of my favs as well. I usually take an IDPA target and staple an index card to the head and to the body to try to shrink my area down. Anything outside the card doesnt count. That one and dryfire, dryfire, dryfire, and more dryfire, with just a hint more of dryfire. Since I discovered the M&P, my times and accuracy have improved dramatically. It just feels natural. Haven't seen you in a while Tad. You need to come to Dickson for our next match on December 4th. It will be 7 stages. I always enjoy watching you shoot. Happy Thanksgiving ALL!
  3. Sweet. Would be glad to do some more match video. I just have a tendency to get a little condescending from time to time. No offense taken and it was pretty darn funny.
  4. Chip, I have withdrawn my comments because they were uncalled for and unrepresentative of the standards that hold myself to. I apologize. I hope you had a great time at the match and look forward to seeing you there in the future. The Safety Officers are the life blood of the sport - they can either make or break the experience of the shooter. It is a big responsibility as well. Thanks to all for comments on the stage designs. I very much enjoy doing them. Some are mine and others are credited to the various matches that I have attended. It is mine and the other members goal to make Music City Tactical Shooters THE range of choice for IDPA competition. On the shirt post - that is hilarious!!! I know I will have to take some ribbing from time to time with being a sponsored shooter. It comes with the territory. I am proud to be a member of the Rudy Project USA IDPA Squad, promoting theirs and all of our sponsors products. I consider myself blessed with the opportunity. Maybe we can squad together at the next match in December. I can't wait to see what kind of shirt HOGNut comes up with.
  5. Fyrguy, Thanks for showing up early and helping me get started setting up. Thanks to the rest who also showed up early as well. We could not do this without you.
  6. Thats flipping hilarious NUT. I guess I would rather wear my bicycle shirt that that pink one that you keep threatening me with when you beat me. It will probably be a LLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG time before that ever happens. I see how you are though - I thought it was Allen's job to grab your junk. What's with the split pants dude - happened at TN State also. Nobody want to see that!!
  7. Chip, That will teach you to FILL OUT THE ENTIRE SHEET - You left those areas blank and it goes to the default highest classification!!!! LOL. Good Job as an SO yesterday and practice those tactical reloads. My job as a match director is to try to challenge every part of your skill level.
  8. Thanks to all who came out for the match. It was a wonderful day for it. Thanks to all of the MCTS Staff and a special thanks to all of the safety officers. Youtube video of the match is available at:
  9. Tighten the sight up on that Glock so you can't use that as an excuse. You wouldn't want to get spanked by 40 seconds like it happened at the TN State Match. I wish I could say that you shot like TY but he shoots much better than you.!!!LOL
  10. Make sure you bring a few friends to the match on Saturday. We have some exciting stages for you. You guys are all lucky that my STI is at the smith getting refinished. Guess I will have to run my SSP M&P.
  11. I would be glad to but I promised my son that I would go to his soccer game and take him to the range. The spanking will have to be postponed. A promise is a promise. A night match would be wicked though - never done that before.
  12. Did you forget your meds again??? I thought you had your phone setup to remind you. Gonna have to check that. All kidding aside I would love to see some of my MCTS friends show up, you too Bresson. I hope the weather cooperates.
  13. Come one and come all. The Tennessee Sports Foundation (www.tnsportsfoundation.org) in Jackson, TN will be hosting their club match on Sept 25th at 9am. For directions please refer to the website. 5 courses of fire will be executed that will challenge every aspect of your skill set, mental and physical. A preview is available at www.randywallacecpa.com/idpa.htm.
  14. Not even gonna bite. I learned my lesson about talking smack after getting my bump to SSP MASTER last weekend.
  15. OK..OK. I have learned that I must shut my mouth. I went to Clarksville with another SO to run a classifer for a group of guys that wanted to shoot Puryear. My SO friend talked me into running it with my son's M&P which was still in my bag. After a few minutes of warm up dry fire in the safe area - holy crap I run it in 98.1 and make MASTER. Shot totally out of my own perceived skill level. Oh well - guess I can't compete in SSP for a while. Back to shooting ESP as a Sharpshooter. No more talking smack about talking smack. LOL
  16. Tad, I sent in my app a couple of months ago. See you there. Are you going to Puryear as well? Nicky and Dede are 2 of my favorite people. This range is awesome and the hospitality is without question amazing. Congrats on the bump. Chandler
