  1. I wish I could say you were probably right, but these people are unwilling to work. You really think they are going to go out and do something for themselves or their kids? If so, you have a lot more faith in humanity than I do.
  2. I will thanks I appreciate it..
  3. Ok I am on your side here. I disagree with welfare programs I do. But let me rephrase my point, and I do not know statistics so I am going off what I see and personal experience. A lot of people on welfare have children. Now is it that kids fault that their parents don't work? So if you cut it out, you will have starving children.. Like I said I agree with you that people should work and there shouldn't be welfare, IF there was another way to make sure the children were fed.
  4. Makes sense..
  5. So theoretically I could use the mag extension at the range and the smaller one when carrying..
  6. but couldn't it carry the same clip that this one does? http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_770010_-1_757954_757781_757781_ProductDisplayErrorView_Y

  8. How is the recoil? I have only ever held one, never had the chance to shoot it..
  9. Does that mean you don't like your XD?
  10. You know that is a pretty long drive, but I have a buddy at Fort Knox that I am supposed to go see may I can convince him to drive down there. Is there good fishing there? and Thanks for the info
  11. Looking to hike a trail that mostly runs by a river so that I can also fish and that also allows camping? Any suggestions? Would prefer somewhere in East Tennessee/ North Carolina. Thanks, Tyler
  12. Do the Salomon trail shoes hold together pretty good? And are they stiff or do they like bend with the rocks or trails? I think I asked that right..
  13. This may be in the wrong section, but it seemed to fit. I have been getting into hiking, mostly just day trips. Can anyone suggest any shoes or boots that are comfortable for hiking? I have normally just went in tennis shoes and not really had any problems, but I have been wanting to go on longer trips and want to be comfortable. I have been thinking about buying a tennis shoe/boot hybrid. Something lightweight that also has good grip. Any Suggestions? Also I have a daypack from walmart and also holds my camelbakk, it has been good for fishing and day trips, but I am looking for a pack that could hold a lot more stuff, especially a tent and a sleeping bag. Any suggestions would be great.. Thanks, Tyler
  14. Yea I love the way the Xd looks and feels.. That is what I am leaning towards right now.
  15. For what it is worth, I have smaller hands not too small. Both the 1911 and the Glock and the Xd all felt good in my hands though.
  16. I might have to take you up on that if i ever get the time to get to Kingsport. I will be going back to ETSU in the fall so I will be pretty close then, so if I haven't made up my mind by then I will get in contact with you.
  17. That sounds great, but it just isn't possible. The problem is that some people can't work and we can't just let them starve in the streets. The other problem is that people do not use government benefits as a "crutch". It is there to help people get on their feet, but then they receive the benefits and realize hey I can get more money from sitting at the house and doing nothing that I would if I worked. People then become lazy and it is really sad.
  18. Hey everyone, I am looking to buy my first handgun, but I don't want to rush out and buy the first thing I can afford. So I thought I would get some advice from you all. What am I looking for? Well I want something that I can put a relatively high amount of rounds through often, since me and my friends go shooting all the time. Plus I want something that I can use as a PDW since I plan on getting my conceal carry permit also. I realize that it is a gun and that if you shoot a normal person with anything it is going to hurt them, but I want something with real stopping power. My favorites are the 1911 and the Springfield Xd or XDM's. These can be kind of pricey though. Or would a 9mm do just a good of job? I am not a big fan of Glocks, I shot the Glock 40 once and it was nice and light, but this caused way to much recoil. I realize I probably asked a bunch of stupid questions, but I don't want to invest in something that is unreliable and I apologize if you all have been asked this question a thousand times, but any and all information will be appreciated. Thanks, Tyler
