  1. History Researcher, Thank you for the information.
  2. BigSat, The 1880 is pending. Would you ask your friend to text me at 865-719-4434. That way I can be sure to communicate with him. Thank you.
  3. Thank you History Researcher. The serial number on the frame is 517xxx and the Colt logo is in the middle.
  4. My 1911 was mfg. in 1918 and is period correct from what I have been told. Could I ask you, what is there about the slide that doesn’t appear correct to 1918? I appreciate your input.
  5. Maybe you need to plan a visit east to the Smoky Mountains.
  6. On the SAA, I see that the numbers on the backstrap and trigger guard and frame are the same. Where should I look on the 1911?
  7. I have a Colt SAA .45 for sale. Lettered to 1880. A good example of an old West revolver. Good fireable shape for 145 years. $1700.00. No shipping. This 1880 is now pending. I have a Colt 1911 for sale. It was mfg. 1918 and is well used but in original condition. Has two tone clip and nice walnut grips. Not bad for a 107 year old semi automatic. $1700.00. No shipping. Text 865-719-4434
  8. Sorry, but I have no interesting tale to tell on the rear sight. It was on gun when I got it. May have been an early attempt at a target sight without causing issues drawing gun from holster. It is very neat and clever.
  9. I have owned this Colt for over fifty years and have fired it. It is a Colt .45 caliber. It was shipped in 1880 as shown in Colt letter. Has very good Artillery walnut grips with RAC inspection mark. Very smooth action and no rust. $2,000.00 includes Colt Letter. Must meet - no shipping. Text only. 865-719-4434
  10. I will show it. Oops, I can’t seem to down load a picture. If anyone is seriously interested, you can send me a text at 865-719-4434. Thanks
  11. I have a Colt 1911 mfg. in 1918, all original.
  12. I am interested. What is your best price?
  13. Has your Colt been polished or reblued? Thanks
  14. I would be interested if you plan a trip to east Tn. Maybe Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg!
  15. Ropin, Could you contact me thru email about your pistols and meeting with you? Thanks, Randy T.
