  1. Have Y'all given much thought to what will likely happen if he loses? If he wins, we ALL lose, but I'm afraid if he loses we all lose. The media and all the racial hatemongers will blame it on "the racist white establishment". Either way, win or lose, I think most of us are in trouble. Just my two cents worth.
  2. That's one of the beach hazards they don't warn you about! THE FOOD!!! I ate so much all I could do was sit and read.
  3. Read a good book this past week , as I was sitting on the beach in Gulf Shores, by a guy named Bobby Cole. It's called " The Dummy Line". The book is about a fellow taking his young daughter turkey hunting and running into a gang of local hoodlums while in his hunting camp the night before their hunt. I know it is fiction but I think there are lessons about preparedness, (or lack of), in this book. Once I started reading I could not stop until I finished,(just ask my wife, Hey it was MY vacation I thought). If you can find a copy I think most of the folks on this board will like it.
  4. Mike, It has a 10" barrel, based on Rugers' 10/22 action. It's a blast to shoot! My 14 year old son can nail an 18" gong at 100 yards (from the bench) every time. BTW, it's classified as a handgun. It comes with a very nice bi-pod and 1 standard 10 round rotary mag. (10/22 mag). With the price of ammo (centerfire) and reloading components what it is,it looks like I'm going to be shooting a lot more .22's for a while.
  5. I have too many handguns to list, but usually when I leave the house it's a "J" frame that goes with me.
  6. Thanks EO, I've read about those kits and may try one. I think some of my problems may be related to aftermarket hi-cap mags.

    My New Toy

Bought a new toy this weekend at the fairgrounds show, a Ruger Charger .22. I know it will have pretty limited utility, but this has to be the most fun you can have with your clothes on! At 100 yards from the bench a 6" bullseye does not have a chance. At 50 yards my spinners turn like a fan. If you like to burn .22's I highly reccomend one. BTW I put a 2-7x scope on it, cleaned it, set the scope, and put close to 1000 rounds through it Sunday afternoon, so far only the usual ammo related problems. If I can ever figure out how to post pics I'll put some up.
  8. I have a Firestar M43 , and it is hard to beat. The recoil is not bad at all and I can hit with it! It's a little heavy for CC, but with a good holster it carries well.
  9. Some buddies and I are thinking about making the trip from Lawrenceburg to Greenbriar to do a little shopping and shooting for New Years eve. Can anyone give any insight on their prices?
  10. The Rabbi is a VERY nice guy, and great to do business with. :cool:I drove about 100 miles just to buy an item I had been looking for. It was just exactly what he had said it was. My son and I really enjoyed meeting and visiting with him, Steelharp also dropped by while we were there.

    G-19 or XD 9

I would check out the S&W M&P. Love my M&P40, don't think I'll own another Glock. Just my .02 worth.
  12. Hello Everyone, I've been "watching through the window" for a while now and finally decided to come in. Look forward to joining in. Have already met glockster157 & The Rabbi FTF, both great fellas. Fasttalker
