  1. They were asking all people coming through the turnstiles if they were carrying and I'm an honest guy. It's their store, so they have a right to ask. I had a right to do an about face and haven't been back since.
  2. I made the mistake of visiting Bass Pro Shop a few years back and they beckoned me to take a chance on a free boat drawing. I lost, of course, but it took me almost a year to stop the calls and texts on my phone for a vacation package, timeshare or whatever. Then one time I was looking for reloading equipment and they wouldn't let me carry my concealed pistol through the store. I had to either surrender the weapon to a manager or have a security guard escort me while browsing the merchandise. Now I spit at them every time I drive pass the place.
  3. There seems to be a lot of this going around.
  4. Granted, the abolishment of ATF would not throw off every restraint that the National Firearms Act of 1934 and the Gun Control Act of 1968 imposes upon the gun trade and gun owners. Those laws would have to be repealed or amended by Congress and the president's signature for there to be wide open, free possession and sale of all classes of firearms. I haven't read Bobert's proposed bill (and may not be able to understand all of the lawyer talk in it) but hopefully we wouldn't have to put up with all of the cumbersome restrictions that the bureaucrats in charge of the ATF can quickly impose upon us because of new technology (ie. bump stocks) or incidents of national tragedy (school shootings, etc.).
  5. The pistol-packing mama legislator wants to nix the ATF. Dream a little....what would happen if there was no infringement as the Constitution says? Lauren Boebert Introduces Bill to Abolish ATF - Newsweek
