1. About thirty five years ago I was really into backpacking and hiking - fishing in the Colorado mountains around the Glenwood Springs area. A friend had a quick and easy way to make waterproof matches. We would use parrifin from candles, very cheap by the way, that was melted in an old pan on the stove to seal small wooden matches from the tip to about halfway down. You could easily dip a box at a time. We then put them into plastic bottles, put the lid on, then dipped the lid and neck in parrifin sealing the bottle. I actually found some of these bottles in a zip lock baggie several years after leaving that area and the matches still would light and burn very well.
2. This should be a major concern to all. Letters to our reps demanding they defeat this bill ARE in order. "On January 4, 2013, Rep. José Serrano once again introduced H.J.Res. 15 proposing an Amendment to repeal the 22nd Amendment." "H.J.Res.15 - Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President. 113th Congress (2013-2014)" Read about it: http://beta.congress.gov/bill/113th-congress/house-joint-resolution/15/text
3.

I have been going round and round with my aunt. She is a school teacher in west tn. Has been for many many years. When it comes to guns she is way overboard. She is rabid anti-gun and wants them all gone. I have been explaining to her that there is a huge difference between what obummer is calling military style guns and the real deal. She will not see the difference between a semi-auto and a fully auto firearm. There is no reasoning with her because of what the news keeps spouting. It is beyond me how someone can be so narrow minded. She really believes that if all the guns were taken from the law abiding citizens then there would be no more mass killings and crimes committed with guns would vanish. **sigh**

RobertY, It's been my experience that most people that are truly anti gun and not fence straddlers are already gone over the edge. I asked one not long ago if someone kicked your door in, what would you do? They said "Call 911!!!" I asked if they really thought the police would get there in time to help. They said "they'd better!! That's what my tax dollars pay them to do!!!" I just shook my head and walked away.
4. I'd say the number of people that frequent CNN that are anti-gun out number pro gun people 3 to1. The same pole on Breitbart.com would be right the opposite.
5. I travel around some on weekends and have seen malls with no signs while others are clearly posted. I'm assuming the ones with no signs are legal to carry, but we all know what assuming can get you. Anyone know for sure?
6. She loves to read the stories. Who knows? It may save her life sometime.....or mine! She IS a danged good shot with long gun or pistol. We shoot skeet, sporting clays and handguns and rifles together at the range quite often. You can learn a lot just reading other people's success stories. http://www.thewellarmedwoman.com/Womens-Stories-Of-Self-Defense-With-A-Gun
7. First time I've been to a gun show in about 5 years. Just got back. I was really disappointed. 12 bucks to get in, but it is a good cause, though. However, it's a VERY small show. At least 1/3 of the tables selling junk. Only one booth with any reloading supplies to speak of. He was higher than Sportsman Warehouse on everything. $4 higher on 1000 Federal Primers, $2 higher on 1 lb bottle of Unique Powder, $4 higher on the 4 lb jug, and $7 higher on the 8 lb jug. About the same on 9mm 115 gr FMJ at $44.99 per 500, IF you don't count the $12 cover charge to get in. Oh well...at least I got it outta my system for another 5 years or so I guess....
