  1. The guy should not have been fishing like this, but ill play devils advocate here. Since open carry is legal where this took place, what would have been wrong with the person taking the calls from the public stating to them that open carry is not a crime in that state and is in fact legal.. Is the person you are observing making threatening gestures with the handgun or is the handgun holstered? Does he seem to be impaired in any way or simply walking beside the highway? At the same time the officers could have simply asked to see his permit to carry, said thank you, and everybody went on their way, like they all did in the end anyway. The guy was fishing no doubt and its pretty obvious the camera had a big part to play in this scenario and led to much more drama during the incident by both sides. The guy seemed sober and was not threatening to the LEOs, just stating facts about his rights after the questions started. The officer stated a city ordinance about being required to answer question like that overrode the fifth amendment. I don't think the fact he was walking along the highway or inside the Walmart the policeman mentioned should have made any difference. I don't agree with what the guy did, but I'll have to agree with TMF's comment above on this one.
  2. I'd eat a LOT of FREAK'N ice cream after drinking that crap!!!!!
  3. This one is even scarier: "Congressman Hank Johnson (D-GA) allegedly expressed a fear during a hearing on March 25, 2010 that the island of Guam could capsize if too many military personnel were stationed there. A search for the YouTube video shows the exchange with Admiral Robert Willard in which Rep. Johnson expressed his fear. "
  4. The US Treasury has announced that Mainland China ownes $1.17 Trillion of our debt and the Feds own $1.69 trillion. Almost equal partners huh...?
  5.    Jeff Dun-Hammmm.....LOL  Love the guy.  Akkkhh-med and Peanut are my favorites.
  6. Well, that's good to know. However, I will stand by my previous post.
  7. DF and BB are seriously delusional and psychologically ill people. It's scary that they are in the positions they are in.  Sadly, they're not the only ones.
  8. It's the actions of Muslim countries, communities and individuals that causes one to form negative opinions of them.  Not a target.
  9. I love all the glocks.  I have a 17, 30 and 34. really fun to shoot and the most reliable pistol I've ever shot.  I've never had any problems with them at all.
  10. PapaB hit the nail on the head:    "To claim he was brought down by someone else is to deny the personal responsibility of our actions. That is a liberal concept that I do not accept."  AMEN PapaB!
  11.     That is freak'n awesome.  Especially the scared rabbits trying to get out of the door and then the driver trying to drive off before everybody could get in the SUV..
  12. Magazine capacity is just not an issue in my home.  Home invaders will be facing 1 of 2 870's (1 by the bed, the other hid in the living room....I'm old with bad legs and back so I can't run to fetch a gun.) each loaded with 8 rounds of buckshot guided to their mark by a red dot laser mounted to the rail. I pray I never have to use either one.  But I'd rather be prepared and not need one, as need one and not be prepared.  I've hunted all my life and can cycle a pump with the best of them.
  13. It's sounds great for a long term source of food in, say a major electical grid failure where complete isolation from water (no power for pumps to supply water to the masses), or food (no power to pump gas diesel etc and delivery of food ceases), but a major PITA outside of this scenario. From what I've read here and on the Internet (where we know everything is true), this is a full time 365 day job with the perfect setup. In a national disaster scenario, time would not be a problem and could even keep you and your family sane (plenty to do to keep busy), as well as well fed. By to have one now means no vacations, only able to be away from home for a few hours at a time, plus how could you keep a full time job? On the other hand, if you had all the items and tools needed to make one packed in a neat package, beside your 6 month emergency food supply, then you would have plenty of time to get a system started and would give you and family members plenty to do and a real purpose to stay busy and again, maintain your sanity while building your long term food source for that day the emergency supplies are depleted.
  14. The contour is another excellent camcorder especially for motorcycles, skiing off reading etc....
  15. Sounds like the best lawyers in Nashville are the court appointed ones.
  16. Now that brings back memories. That was my squirrel hunting rifle of choice back in the 60's. Got one for my 16th birthday in 1966. Sure wish I had it today.
  17.     This is a troubling statement to me, and made by an LEO or a retired LEO by the moniker below his name.  Why is the decision of a citizen of this country to decide to announce his desire to apply a constitutional right to a situation have "something to hide"?.  It may seem a trivial matter, but to me, running the serial number of a firearm for no apparent reason sits right up there with "you don't mind if I search your car do you?" which is used a lot by LEO's when they have no real reason and a legal search is not possible.  If the person responds with, "I don't submit to searches of my personal property without due cause."  suddenly they  have "something to hide"?  Every time an LEO coerces a citizen by subversion, into something they know is unconstitutional, they are pushing us a little further away from freedom and closer to "I need to see your papers!"
  18. Wow....I had to go back and look. I thought I'd clicked on a motorcycle "Dino vs Synthetic" thread......LOL.
  19. Not bad at all.....Cabellas for $769.
  20. I agree with Leroy. The amount of Imports that enter this country through Miami are enormous. I've seen several news reports lately that say al-queda is promising something "shocking" for the USA. They could be operating on a tip or a new lead.

  22. Excellent article. It's very plain, the trail our country is heading down. I think the pace is getting ready to pick up as the days go by. The extreme left has plans for us all. If the mid term elections go left, it's over people.
  23. I don't know about tin foil hats and "boogers" under the bed, but just a few years ago I would never have imagined we would have the president we have now. Not because he's black, but because of his history of exposure to government radicals and his sharing in their obsession with Marxist Socialism. also, the complete failure of vetting by a media that instead, has built a bubble of protection around him. Add to this his re-election by the very people that ignored all of this and even suffered through 4 years of unemployment and a failing economy. I simply blows my mind.
  24. I REALLY like those grips Raoul. Edited because this FREAK'N iPad types what IT wants sometimes
