we lost our nra silhouette matches this year here in chattanooga, after 11 plus years.   four rifle matches a month gone.  we had up to 30 shooters a month and also held the tennessee state match each year.   we got shooters from five states each month for the matches.

in your matches will the current nra silhouette rules apply and current classification books be used?

it looks like these are the matches that you have:

smallbore standard rifle

smallbore hunter rifle

cla smallbore rifle

smallbore  hunter pistol (scope)

hunter pistol (scope)

are you also going to do:

cla pistol cartridge

smallbore hunter pistol iron sights

hunter pistol iron sights

At Jackson, Tn

Yes NRA Rules 1/2 targets and 1/5 targets.

YES Iron sights pistols.  Just on the same 1/2 scale targets at same distances.  .22lr rimfire only.

No on Pistol Caliber Cowboy (maybe some day).  We have a set of 1/2 scale targets left over from a previous incarnation of Silhouette but they are the "thin targets"  so no PCC.  rimfire only. For now.

Yes, I will make up some sort of Class for every shooter with any type of .22 rimfire.  Even if it is not an Official recognized class.  All Are welcome.  Beginner to expert.  Even a hacker like me.

I heard about Chattanooga and the hole thing Stinks.  Well, I would use stronger words but it's a family forum .

You folks put on quite a show for the Tn Championships.  For those who don't know it was basically a mini version of the Nationals.  And very well done.  With the absolute top of the crop type shooters attending.

Now we just need five or six more venues in TN hosting Silhouette matches so we can get a traveling schedule for every weekend like up north.  I can dream right?
