Looks like concealed carry in national parks is dead

Recommended Posts

Well, it looks like our 12 days of being able to exercise our Constitutional rights in our national parks is over. Hussein has been president for less than 24 hours and he has already made his first anti-gun move.

I don’t know how he did this, as I thought the 60 day waiting period for this change had passed. But then again, we are talking about a guy who doesn’t even respect the Constitution.

I think Reuters was just citing some "controversial" new changes that Bush implemented and not what Obama is going to be looking at. After all, the NP carry change is not pending, it has already gone into effect.

The hold only applies to executive orders and only on those executive orders that have not gone into effect. The process for reversing an executive order that is in effect is more involved.

The "national parks carry" rule was not an executive order and the decision went into effect on Jan. 9.
