.380 ammo getting hard to find?

I called Dicks Sporting Goods in Rivergate, Academy Sports in Rivergate, Bass Pro, Gander Mountain in Bowling Green, 2 little local gun shops. I tried to call Goodlettsville Gun Shop and Guns and Leather but they're closed. I stopped by 2 Wal*Mart's yesterday and both said nothing available within 100 miles.

Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait, lol. No big deal...but it was worth the effort of looking.

My wife and I went to the RK gunshow this afternoon in Smyrna...none of the ammo vendors had any 380 ammo...had to do some shopping on the way home we stopped in the WALLY-World in CS same there...no 380...trundled over to the FRanklin Gunshop same story...Trish is not smilin' right now...she want ammo for her BERSA.

Bought two boxes of .380 there yesterday. Guy had just put out a whole case when I walked up. $25/box. Would have bought the whole case, but didn't have $250 to spend. Checked back 15 minutes later and it was all gone.

I spoke to the Walmart clerk about .380 ammo the other day. They said they had not gotten any in since December. I could understand shortages caused by locals buying it all up, but this just seems like an issue with manufacturing. Would there be a reason the manufacturers would not be making any right now?

New President

Higher ammo tax

panic purchase,,,,,,, This is the same ole' story I get. If you are lucky enough to find FMJ .380 then you won the lottery. I purchased some with a gift card at BPS, it said they had to back order but I had it in less than a week. I also purchased a box of critical defense from the web and had it with in a week.

I didnt find any at the little gun show in Jacksboro over the weekend. One vendor told me there was none available nationwide. He also said it would be April before it was available again.

Thankfully I have about 10rds left for carry purposes. :hiding:
