Any standard BCG should fit any standard gas impingement upper.

All BCG's are not created equal. The BCG is one of the main parts to fail in substandard AR's, made essentially for plinking not hard work. A quality BCG like those made by Bravo Company Manufacturing and other high quality companies will immediately improve the mediocre AR.

If you want to know which BCG's consistently fail under the pressure of combat or carbine courses for pros read some of the After Action Reports, (AAR's) from Pat Rogers. He says exactly what works and what fails over in over in his and other trainers he knows courses. You will find the same names mentioned over and over. No matter which BCG is used, it should be kept well lubed.

Charging handles should be standard as well.

In high round count guns I would not go switching the BCG back and forth between uppers. As you shoot the gun the bolts start to wear to match the barrel's feed ramps and could cause issues if you just throw it in another upper.
