PX4 Storm Pistol

A fellow let me shoot his compact PX4 Storm 9mm. I'm usually not accurate with somebody else's gun.

This little Storm shot real accurate considering my ability and not knowing the gun. It seemed at least a little more accurate than Beretta 92FS I'm real comfortable shooting. Maybe a full-size PX4 would be even more accurate, dunno.

Maybe was just getting lucky, but it seemed to be shooting at least a little tighter group than my 92FS or CZ-85.

PX4 has a belled-out front end of the barrel that probably acts like a fitted bushing and locks the barrel in place when firing. Maybe that is the difference.

Had never paid much attention to the PX4 because they don't look very pretty to me, but it was just interesting that the gun seems to be a pretty accurate "natural" shooter.

I'm not a huge fan of Beretta handguns but i think the PX4 is a superbly made handgun. they shoot accuratley have less felt recoil due to the rotating bbl and are tough as nails. I have personally seen them go through thousands of rounds and still work flawlessly.

I just picked up a PX4 Storm Sub Compact in 9mm, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but will tomorrow. I really like the feel (and the looks) of the gun.

One problem I'm having is finding spare mags for it (13 rd w/ the drop ext.). Everyone seems to be out.

If anyone finds a shop w/ the JMPX4S9E (9mm, 13 rd. snap link(?)) mags please let me know. They are hard to find right now.

I have been pleasantly surprised with the performance of the Px4. I bought a 9mm one as kind of a toy. It keeps surprising me though! It has been a tack driver and has probably the least recoil of any 9mm I've ever shot. The ergos are pretty good for my hand. People have crapped on the reliability of the rotating barrel but the thing hasn't hung up yet. Around 1300 rounds and not yet cleaned. Thats not all that much, but so far so good. Cons...the bruniton finish on the storms is about as good as spraying krylon paint on...it chips easy. That being said no rust to speak of yet. As for the whole beretta type F thing with a safety...it was easy to convert to a type G (decock only) and make the controls flush with the slide so you don't rip your flesh off when racking the slide. Its also a bit chunky of a gun compared to alot of whats on the market. All that being said, after the mods I've made to it....Im falling in love with the gun more and more. I may just NP3 it and make it an EDC.

Here she is with the stealth kit installed...

My PX4 .45 is my everyday carry gun. I love it. It goes almost everywhere I do. I am very comfortable with the grip, recoil and general performance. I choose it over every other gun in the house for accuracy in my hand. I have no idea how many rounds I have put through it, but it does get cleaned regularly!!! I drop it at least once a week( I carry SOB ) and it is no worse for the wear. I am in agreement about the sharp edge on the safety, but it isn't much of a deterrent!!
